Hi All

Here is a way of seeing information hidden in old documents by using a Hyperspectral Camera that sees things our eyes never could.

See the Invisible

Here is a link to a standard Canon 5D DSLR with diy adaptions to perform the same function.

Diy Hyperspectral Camera

It will be interesting to see what this technology can reveal!

For example

Discoveries using hyperspectral photography so far include revisions to the US Declaration of Independence, hidden words in the Dead Sea Scrolls, and a possible Abraham Lincoln fingerprint on a copy of the Gettysburg Address.

Enjoy

Very cool.
Thanks for this.

It'll be wonderful should this technology become more common place among bibliophilic researchers and more lost works are found.

It'll be absolutely fantastic to sort though all the old ancient Greek, Roman, and other texts to find lost material.
What might the works of Divinci show us using this technique?

Perhaps old original sheet music still surviving from classical masters like Mozart, Beethoven, Bach, and others may show us differing versions where they've made changes we can explore.

This is exciting.
Great find. Well done.

Thanks Druscilla

Lets see what turns up because of this.

Perhaps a hidden page of the Bible saying

All characters appearing in this work are fictitious. Any resemblance to real persons, living or dead, is purely coincidental.

This is the kind of photography I'd love to get into. DIY might be nice but where do I get ancient scrolls from?

the leonardo suggestion is a very good one
