Does a Soul have a choice which container/shell it is to experience time to time, regardless of the differences inherent in one genome or another, the Conscience (the guide) remains.

Before speculating around this, maybe we should try to prove the existence of the soul?

I get the impression someone or something has been designing and releasing different versions of human beings. Once they had a model they thought was well adapted to the enviornment they let the newer model kill off the older ones. Sounds like terminator philosophy! So wil there one day be a modern human version 2 that is ordered to terminate us!

But did not do that for other animals, even though they show the same pattern (evolution)?

I have always found the topic of human ancestory fastinating. That there were more than one species around at the same time is really no suprise. It makes perfect sense. Since animals in general adapt to their environment, I would think that the different species existing at the same time, if they lived in the same areas, would have adapted to different ecological niches. Perhaps one species gathered roots and primarily fed on grains and roots.

Maybe the other poached predator kills or actually hunted game. This would have possibly led to cooperation between them and maybe drew them to interbreed. Perhaps this led to interacting with other groups for the trade of foodstuffs. After all that would support the survival of both species.

If this interplay did not happen, I would think that it would lead to competition for resources, and some type of possibly violent conflict. Maybe that is why there is only one species left today.

Just some speculation Slayer, as you always make me think. Thanks....LG

It's amazing the information we are receiving daily, I'm a mystic, a lover of philosophy and a lover of nature mixed in with history and on and on.

I love information!! ( sorry, in a loving mood lol)

Human... Man.... Kind.... is one of a kind just like the ancients were also one of a kind, yet I have a feeling we are all related in time.

Evolving to experience the top of the pyramid.... Wonder what we will be called by then?

Let's go!! Lol

The offspring of a pregnant female who was all alone would have a very high mutation rate.

Every ice age cycle, many small communities would have been stranded somewhere like; an island, or a desert oasis or a hot spring, somewhere surrounded by hundreds of miles of impassable terrain.

BTW I like the aquatic ape theory.

I find it interesting yet strange that these things are not taken for granted to begin with. Even today...we have different varieties of the same species. Coexisting in the same time frame. Every living organism has another organism that looks almost like it, looks similar but has differences.

Yet we are surprised that a subspecies of us could have been, or is even today, living parallel to us.

Science has placed a big burden on it self by demanding evidence for everything, even the most logical of things.

Sometimes dreams and imagination will get you further than any science can.

Science has evidence in it's definition. Science is about dependability and certainty, knowledge anyone can use.

I agree with your basic idea, and philosophy is a correct place for it. Philosophy lets you gamble with better odds. And if you follow it up you might find a real truth, then science takes over.

I realize...It is necessary if we want to maintain a level of true knowledge, but sometimes I feel science is way too stubborn. Even to a point of preventing progress.

I think there might be a conspiracy somewhere in there

The book "the Bell Curve" got alot of bad attention about what it said about black people. However it had another part about the concentration of smart people into the college system. All of the smart people are now headed to college and are told what to think there. and what not to waste time or be an idiot about.

The government tells colleges what to study by giving colleges money for projects the government wants. In the current system the things studied are all authorized from some higher power or source of money. Graduates know that thier future is in working for a big corporation or the government.

So all of science is slanted towards corporate/goverment wants.

Well this has been an interesting discussion.

I question...

That if this is true then is everything we are told that has been found in the Archeological record that is assumed "Homos Sapien" created and used solely the creation of our ancestors or were they possibly created and used by those other lines which may or may not have hung around for a while?

We just haven't found their connection to those artifacts/sites yet?

Haven't a degree, but I know the best jobs are in the corporate/govermnet sector.

That's why a prudent, perceptive, and intelligent person will not go his own way.

If you point out the dotcom revolution as peolple going their own way, I would say every industry should be like that, and they're not because of establishment restrictions and govermnent regulations.

Also, the dotcom stuff played into the hands of TPTB by making our entire mental life part of a database. Before the dotcom revolution, circa 1979, the smartest free thinkers were looking at linguistics and computer programming, so they have probably been coopted--invested into the current system of centralization and top down control.

Actually, none of this is news to the archaeological community. Science has been aware for many decades that multiple species of humans existed at the same time and each of the species of humans does indeed have artifacts that they left. It's a little dicey to look at an artifact and assign it to a species ("This was made by Neanderthals and nobody else".) But yes, we do know that a lot of artifacts were created by homo erectus, Neanderthals, Australopithecines, and so forth -- and knowledge traveled from one species to another.

BTW these human varieties wouldn't look terribly strange to us today. Give 'em a haircut, some tattoos, take them shopping at The Gap, and you couldn't pick them out in a crowd.

It would be quite a shock to the heirarchists if the monilith builders were anarchists. Any evidence supporting individualism will probably be exised. I wonder what was lost in the looting of the Bagdad Museum?. Something like the original rational for goverment?

All of the various species of human would have begun as hunter-gatherers and they would have been outnumbered by the first species to adopt agriculture or over powered by the first species to adopt animal husbandry.

I think I've stood behind a Neanderthal at the Deli counter before.

What of the slightly more advanced stone age tools? Any thoughts on these other lines creating them before they died out or were breed out as some here have speculated?

Do all of the species of human have a derivative of the homo erectus hand axe? as in evolved from homo erectus?

Is it possible that the species that evolved into humans were always along a different line?
