Please source your claim that Eastwood voted for Obama in 2008. Also, he public ally stated he was opposed to corporate and auto bailouts months before he did that Super Bowl halftime commercial. He's an actor... Sometimes actors take roles that don't reflect their own beliefs. Last night we saw Clint Eastwood as Clint Eastwood, not him playing some role.

We consider it - our money - that Obama is spending like a drunk sailor.

We own this country. The liberal /socialists in Washington DC are elitists who

think it is -their- money to spend as they see fit. - Wealth Redistribution -

---------------
It turns out that Obama is a Radical Marxist masquerading as a moderate in order

to get re-elected. Obama HATES capitalism and the private sector.

We deserve better than Obama. His time is short.

And we have more nonsense by people who selectively rewrite history to suit their politics.

BUSH bailed out the bankers. Bush started wars costing you billions of $'s and thousands of lives. In the same act, he made the USA more of a target too.
It was BUSH who gave tax cuts, which then forced everyone else to pay MORE tax to cover the asses of his rich buddies.

You want to talk about elitism? You need to go back a few years and see how the rich became the elite picking your pocket thanks to the idiot you elected.

I agree you deserve better than Obama - he's disappointed me too - but to suggest that this radical bunch of bible thumping hypocrites could do better is just political insanity at it's absolute worst!

The idea that any person can support the Republican party and all their hypocrisy is completely insane to me.

Well, there must be a lot of - insane - people in Tampa.

Look at them all cheer! Wow! What is going on?

I get the points he was making....but the dude is OLD and it was showing....im not sure at his age, Id be able to get up and speak articulately and keep my mind on track....crap, I barely can do it NOW

I almost felt bad for him (and his family watching) because his age was shining more than the points he was trying to make....

I am still a fan regardless....

The liberals are absolutely jumping out of their skins about the Clint Eastwood

appearance at the RNC Convention.

Their heads exploded when when they heard the truth from Clint Eastwood.

- We own this country. -

- When someone does not do the job, you got to let them go.

OMG !!! What do we do now ???!!!

The whole Anglo/American system is just a huge fraud run by the richest in society. There is no one that represents my interests on the current political spectrum. You could cut every government entitlement,, cut defense spending, sell off all the libraries and schools and we would still be indebted to the banking cartel. Why play along with this madness, as people we should be fighting back, not getting on our knees and accepting it like naughty children.

We have been conned to accept a life of debt slavery and that we must cut all our services and privatise all our institutions in order to save us from our bad ways.

I especially loved it when he said, "We own this country" and that the politicians are our employees.

Replace "We" by "NWO"

Thats the real meaning !
the "WE" is just an illusion for the sheoples
and look NWO is just beside the WE in "OWN"
why did he not said "AMERICANS OWN THIS COUNTRY"
whos the "WE" ??

come on people .. take the red pill asap
NO stop taking your pills .. bad reference sorry about that

The "WE" refers to the first line of the preamble to the U.S. Constitution, "We the People".
This refers to all American citizens owning this country of ours. In order to own the country it implies that you must stay involved in the governing of this country. Unfortunately, a large percentage of our citizens have abdicated this responsibility and have chosen to give up on our country. This is either because they don't know what to do to change it or it's because they'd rather spend their time watching reality TV instead of getting an understanding of the problems facing this country.
So the "WE" is referring to us that haven't given up on this country and are willing to continue our struggle to return it to the free country that it used to be.

You see this kind of thinking is - truly - alien to them.

What does he mean?

I have been reading through my socialist textbook and nowhere does it say this

"We own this country !!!"

They have been drinking the Obama Cool-Aid and are truly bewildered by the

Clint Eastwood speech. This is all - new - information they received last night.

We own this country ??? What a bizarre point of view ? I wonder what it means?

ATS Fair and Balanced.
I dont think anyone can know with certainty that Clint voted for Obama.
It's just something that's been said again and again.
And if he wasn't for the bail out of US automakers that makes
him a bought man. Yes?

Here's wiki for Clint voting for Obama.
en.wikipedia.org...
Which may be how the rumor got started but it says he supported John McCain .

And the premise for Gran Torino?
A little bit political towards his views on Immigration.

Crazy. He's an old, rich, white man who wants to vote Republican.

I'd say that Clint's had his day. Time to put him in a home for retired Hollywood actors.

Oh, you would have to bring up the U.S. Constitution !!! They hate that !

We should get rid of that evil document and replace it with a George Soros

nightmare. - Fair shared nightmare for everybody !!! -

-- Stagnation for decades !!! Doesn't that sound wonderful ?

-- Free food stamps for life !

when they interviewed ann romney on some news channel they asked her why they let that happen....she looked uncomforable at best and obviously embarrased. I love clint but that was bizzare....and can't see it helping Mitt at all!

Seems that people are getting him confused with Charlton Heston.

I watched the video linked in the thread and didnt see anything unusual about it at all and for 82 years old he did fine

The politicians haven't worked for the American people for quite some time.

They do however listen to and pay close attention to the Corporations.

Sadly Clint has been taken in by the fantasy as most Americans have.

Well ATS ?
I don't know what y'all thought but it was certainly unique!
Some will say he spoke truth. Some may say he was weird.
I don't know how I feel.
When he was featured at the Super bowl I was like yeah! Clint Eastwood !
But now?... I'm just confused.

Just my $.02

I thought the message was strong and the delivery was weak…

I don’t think anyone in Hollywood will be beating his door down for a new movie based on last night’s performance but I liked his message!

He showed his age, but then again we ALL do.

Don't forget the other great line:

When someone does not do the job, you got to let them go.

-----------
Obama has failed miserably.

Today he is running on a campaign of fear and division.
