I've been mulling this over for a few days now. I know it's completely crazy, but it must not be too nutzoid of a thought if there is a provision for it in the Constitution. ATS, why do y'all think this is or is not possible? Obviously it would take some intense organization that is really beyond my comprehension, but I'm just curious why this doesn't seem to be a viable option for "We the People" whose rights are being taken one by one, who no longer really own much of anything, who work to carry the super rich and put money in their pockets day and night.

Is there anyone or group with a strong enough character to not become corrupt themselves? How long would it take to establish a new government? Would we be able to take back jobs? Would we become employees of the new government? Would all the Top Secret information finally be disclosed? As American people, are not all these things ours by birthright per the Constitution?

I know it's a simple-minded concept that would become really complicated really fast. If the percentage is 99% to 1%...kinda seems like the odds should always be in our favor. This is just some thoughts...not a serious concept. I just wondered what kind of thoughts and ideas you all might have.

Because people need their iPhones and cable with a billion channels.

Take away the big Macs and all the other stupid crap that keeps the masses from using their tiny little brains and voila you got yourself a revolution.

Our forefathers expected nothing less of us, and we fail them everyday we let this insanity continue.

Everyday we allow ourselves to be slaves, is another day they fought and died for nothing.

S&F because that's a good thing to think about, OP. I think people don't do this because they're scared? I don't know for sure. That 1% may be only 1% but they have the power, the money to back it and well.... most of us 99%er's do not and that's where we're kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Sadly, I think a LOT think about doing this, but they either think 'Ill wait for soemone else to start and see how it goes, and if it works, I'll join in.' or they think, "Well, I don't want to risk losing all I have if the gov't decides to attack back." Something like that.


I say I want things how they 'used to be', but hasn't there always been horrific problems going on no matter what 4 year frame of reference we all look back on? Even decade-wise. There was never a 'good perfect' time at all. Also, what would be good and perfect for some, may not be for all, so we'd still be in a similar boat no matter if we had gov't or not. :/

That provision was in the Declaration of Independence, not in the Constitution.

It's already been overthrown. The socialist progressives have won. They did silently using the Constitution and the law against the Republic that had once stood. Not, it's just a shambles of its former self.

I think the gov keeps us nicely divided and continuously fighting one another. A divided population is easy to control. When Americans can see past what doesn't matter and unify we will be in a much better position to stand up for our country and countrymen, and fight slimy giant bloodsucking monster that is AMERICA corp., Inc.

The tree of liberty needs to be refreshed from time to time with the blood of PATRIOTS and tyrants.

You want a pg-13 revolution? Our country is responsible for some of the most disgusting events in human history, and our government is quite a powerful one, people will fight to their death to retain power and status quo, because ignorance is bliss to most.

That is the only reason not to at this point in my opinion. The evils that our corrupt government impose are, at this point in time, bearable. There is a duty to at least attempt to right the system from within and through the existing process before


it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them

and


to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security


Look to our founding documents for a guide to our future. The principles are ageless.

I'll sum it up in one word: FEAR! Or shall i say: "TERROR". You all really don't understand what's happening, huh? War on Poverty = more poor people. War on Drugs = more people on drugs. War on Terror = more people living in fear. People are AFRAID to take a stand.

I often think about these things to. Then i go out in public or walk by a television and I am reminded just how closed off most people are. The truth is that 99% of the 99% are just to comfortable and lost in the materialism of todays world to care about the bigger picture. Those of us who are aware of the bigger picture are the 1% of the 99%. So the way I see it, things willl have to drastically change and negatively effect those people before they will care enough to get involved. By then it will probably be too late.

I for one am not about to go risk my freedom and my life for people who don't care enough about themselves to fight for their own lives and freedom. For now I focus on the safety and prepardness of my family. Maybe one day things will change, maybe a solar flare will take out the power grid next year and awaken people to the terrors our government holds for us. Only time will tell but I see things getting much worse very soon.

good idea for a thread....we can't because this has to be this way....it's all in the book , basic instructions before leaving earth....it's part of a master plan to give anyone who will claim it, life forever as a spirit entity, experiencing a life that greater by an infinite amount....than anything the human mind has ever concieved
now go, and read all about it, even details for the student who wants to plow deep.


edit....it even states in that book that we have to submit to the powers that will be put over the earth, so ...I'm an outdoorsman, I know I'll have to hand em over....or hand it over....they only get one

Why should anyone have to die in the process? All we have to do is open peoples eyes and make them see what we're up against. Once enough people have noticed, we should be able to take down one corrupt politician after another and replace them with our own. We make them accountable and we punish them according to their crimes. We watch closely to make sure their replacements learn from their predecessors. These people are OUR employees and we have every right to fire them for their misconduct. Violence is not necessary so long as we are strong enough to expose them and punish them accordingly. Too long have people been asleep at the wheel, letting their employees run our business. They're taking advantage and some of us have been convinced that it is they who are our superiors. Wrong. Now is the time to start this peaceful revolution.

Our founding fathers were very wise to set that part in the constitution....However, they failed us, there is no procedure set to accomplish this without a gun barrel.....There are set procedures in most states to recall a politician, but there is nothing that would allow the country to express it's discontent without enough people standing up and saying 'Enough'. The problem now, as a previous poster stated, the majority of the American population is too caught up with who is getting kicked off big brother or what kim kard...whats her name is doing. Not enough are actually pissed enough or paying enough attention at the same time to rise and 'Tell' the government what we think.
