Painting a biger picture....404

I was not even finished with my thread. why was it deleted?

i had my cites and sources and someone jumped in saying that i need to post
wtf i was taking about or where i was going with it.
i responded to him only to get 404

i was in the correct forum.
It was lengthy...so, all of my cites were adding to my point
i hadn’t gotten to my viewpoints or anything.
apparently i hit a nerve with someone?

when im not even allowed to make my point.......
Give me a break.

I see stupid posts that are nothing but speculation fro undisclosed sources go on for ever.
at least my sources were legit. CNN Washington post etc.

I would love a Mod preferable the one who deleted it to explain.

It was all sorts of pertinent info drawn together from multiple sources.
the middle east, Syria weapon stockpiles and how the us cant afford to let them fall into terrorist hands.
I had quoted from the Potus and all.
it was going to be a very concise thread. but i was not allowed to finish.

Completely about the stories as a whole not as individual snippets.
But i was not allowed to finish my painting.

do you mean as you were typing,before posting?if you do that's just creepy.

I had finished post 1 and was mid post 2 when someone chimed in.
I posted page 2 and then responded to the comment, but when i hit post i got 404

When a thread is 404'd I think you get a message from the MOD as to why it was. Did you not get anything?

Maybe if you drop a nicely worded U2U to the mod and engage in some dialog with them you will find out more info on why it was 404'd. I've found that most of the moderators are more than willing to discuss an issue when they come up.

Also, and this is just a point to consider.... when doing a long OP that will continue past the initial OP, try typing it out in a word document or something like that. That way you can just drop it into ATS and have it all up and running quickly so you don't have folks posting in between your info. I've done that in the past and it works rather well.

I've noticed how the whole "Deny Ignorance" only applies to the ignorant on here. That is what they normally say when they have nothing else to say. And some of the MODS pick and choose, has happened to me quite a bit.

Yes i did receive a message. the bar just didn’t notify me.

it was because i had posted a quantity of content from other sites.
if i had been allowed to finish there what have been user contribution, not just snippets.
i make points, that IMO someone didn’t like. it wasn’t up for 5 min.
i truly had a significant contribution to make to the site.

The ignorance harboured within is astounding, so much for the site credo.
I have read threads that were great only to have them 404 after a few min.
Hell i have posted things that were only to gauge peoples opinions.
and they remain posted.......?

I hear ya, ATS MODS don't like information from certain sites, which to me makes since if the site is like the Onion. But if it is a fellow site like Red Ice Creations, then what is the harm?
