No I've said it already, and since all you all have made race an issue here, I think it's only fair that someone poke holes in your theory. Again, the Democrat Party is all about race and class warfare and socialism. Leftist radicals have dominated the Democrat Party. What better way to make people glom on to their Party than to tell everybody the Republicans are just a bunch of racist selfish pigs?

No is telling anyone that republicans are a bunch of racist pigs. No one is saying that democrats are an epitome of goodness.

You seem to want to make this an issue of politics. Sorry, not biting.

Um well the incident happened at the RNC and we know that CNN is and has been in the tank for Obama and the Democrats. So what's new? People here on this forum lapped up this story like a cat drinking milk.
Did you or did you not turn this into republicans being racist????

My question to you (or anyone else involved in this discussion for that matter) is, do you think this was a racist act or do you think it was an act based on a hatred of CNN or maybe even something else? I mean, for all we know, which is next to nothing, the motivation could of been anything. Heck, the lady could of verbally abused this person for walking in front of her shot for all we know so this person struck back. I feel simply because the camera woman was black that many seem to be jumping to the conclusion that this has to do with race. I mean has anyone even confirmed that this person is of another race than the camera woman?

These people could of been having an argument that had nothing to do with race.

Speculation is all we have to go on at the moment. The person could of committed this act for many reasons other than a hatred of a particular race, though I am not surprised that everyone has jumped to this conclusion despite not having any information on the persons intentions and motivation.

Also, do we even know the political affiliation of the person? Once again, because the person was at the RNC, speculation has come that the person is a member of the republican party. By that logic, the camera woman must be republican as well. Also, MSNBC is at the RNC, they must be republican too! I mean seriously?

Does anybody even remotely realize that this is all being framed in a particular fashion to make one come to a certain conclusion despite not having any facts to support that conclusion? WTF ATS? I expect better from this community.

Heck, this person could of been part of a competing news agency. By all means though, don't let the fact that we have zero information on this persons background and motivation stop everyone from jumping to wild conclusions based off of fact-less speculation.

I realize that some people on this site are here simply to promote their particular agenda and actual facts have no reason to be brought up, but seriously, anybody want to go ahead and hold off their judgment until they actually have the slightest idea what actually happened or is that just no fun?

lol, it always has to be about race or religion in america doesnt it.
Maybe the person didnt like women, so the black chick got the peanuts.
Or maybe, just maybe the guy was sick and tired of the media and all their crap , how they act like a pack of hyenas standing just out of sight , but you know they are there, you can hear them talking, thier noises feeding on the dead or dieing of society, waiting to pounce on you and maul you.
Remember the media and / or paparazi are the ones instead of helping would rather film or photograph you in agony in a car wreck, especialy if you are a celebrity, or film you ending your life from a burning building, then someone else, and another and another etc.etc.
The media are animals, the worst kind of animal, one that will manipulate and lie to you to serve its own means,or someone elses.
So why would celebritys in the past assault members of the media, Axl Rose, Bieber,Winehouse, Sheen, etc. because of race? no. because they, the media are animals.
so in regards to this, right idea poor execution.

RNC Attendee Allegedly Threw Nuts At Black CNN Camerawoman, Said ‘This Is How We Feed Animals’

An attendee at the Republican National Convention in Tampa on Tuesday allegedly threw nuts at a black camerawoman working for CNN and said “This is how we feed animals” before being removed from the convention, a network official confirmed to TPM.

The CNN official declined to confirm specific details of the incident to TPM but generally confirmed an account posted on Twitter by former MSNBC and Current anchor David Shuster: “GOP attendee ejected for throwing nuts at African American CNN camera woman + saying ‘This is how we feed animals.’”

It is not clear whether the alleged culprit was a delegate or attending the convention in some other capacity.

In a written statement, CNN addressed the matter but divulged few details: “CNN can confirm there was an incident directed at an employee inside the Tampa Bay Times Forum earlier this afternoon. CNN worked with convention officials to address this matter and will have no further comment.”

TPM’s calls to RNC and convention officials were not immediately returned.

Not much to add really, I'm sure everyone will agree this is not appropriate behavior for someone attending a national convention.

I hope the RNC addresses the issue and doesn't just ignore it.

ETA: Kudos to the RNC for responding to it quickly:

www.politico.com...

GOP convention spokesman Kyle Downey tells POLITICO, "Two attendees tonight exhibited deplorable behavior. Their conduct was inexcusable and unacceptable. This kind of behavior will not be tolerated."

and also if the GOP convention people really thought it was that bad, why didn't the release the names of the 2 d bags instead of hiding them from shame? granted they booted them out, but im pretty sure that was to avoid any lawsuit, plus he threw something at her, the cops should have been called, people have been arrested for splashing water on people from a water bottle, regardless of her skin color or his, you don't treat people like that ever.

Was it racist to throw nuts at a black camera woman and say "This is how we feed animals"?

Do people refer to blacks as animals, as an insult?

Doesn't seem to be common as an insult for news media;

Who would even taunt someone who is just there doing their job? What did these "hecklers" hope to achieve? Taunt, harass, and drive out CNN cameras, and then what? Complain about lack of coverage from CNN?

Ask yourself this - would YOU ever throw nuts/food at a black person, then call that person an animal? Whoever would do this, is a racist. It's not a matter to debate. There's no way to justify it. At least the convention committee evicted the perps.

Good point. I remind myself of this thought a lot. Especially when it involves the arrest of anyone of color.
Question Everything....a motto that I live by.

I'm not saying everyone should hold hands and sing 'we are the world' - I'm saying where is the respect for our fellow human beings?
Divide and conquer and all that jazz.

Maybe it doesn't matter whether it was racist or not. Isn't there something in the constitution about freedom of expression?

We could ask one of the Ron Paul supporters to make sure.

I conducted a similar experiment earlier in the thread.

When you call a black person an "animal" the historical and contemporary meaning is an insult based on race.

Unless people in this thread want to make the argument that the woman was so "race blind" that she didn't realize the implications of her words, then ya, there really is no grounds for defense.

Careful sageofmonticello .. you are making too much sense!!

Dare to ask legitimate questions about something that ... at the time ... was just 'alleged' and that CNN itself wouldn't back up and you get spat at by the far left. And yet, the left is sitting on This thread about Mia Love's Website getting hacked ... sitting on this thread asking the same kind of legitimate questions I asked on this one. Geee ... but it's okay for them because, afterall ... it's THEM.
Major partisan hypocrisy on these boards ....

Since it is now common for cnn and other "news" agencies to stage events to fit their storylines. Why is it not being considered this was staged?
Like the rainbow Jane incident. The left spends alot of effort staging events to make the news so it can be propogated. What is the evidence this is NOT planted and staged and reported????
To me, it's too easy. I am not sure I buy it.
oh, btw, deplorable conduct by a human being!

Wtf... there will never be any evidence it was not staged. How can there be evidence of something that didn't happen?

This seems to be an obvious way to create more race based violence in US . I can bet this was done deliberately so that this would be viewed by maximum amount of people.

I'm surprised that this has gotten any coverage. I guess because it fits the "RNC is racist" meme, but a couple of guys were acting like jerks, they were thrown out as they should have been. It seems the convention acted appropriately.

I gave you the best example you can find, "rainbow jane"
Do a google if you need to.
It was planned and staged to propogate an ideal against people she/they hated in an attempt to paint an adversary in a bad light and drum up public sympathy.
And guess what????? It was proven to be faked and staged.
So, you need to regroup and assert that yes, this stuff can be proven. But the point is simple, it's quite possible it was staged by cnn. It is a deplorable act by the perps. Even more so if it was staged.
So, rainbow jane, what a putz...right?

Hey, hasn't cnn announced they are getting out of news and getting into reality tv?
maybe this is the beginning. We all know that most of those reality tv shows are staged....don't we?

I thought about my prior post referring to the act as bullying. Then I realized there was evidence of one more bully in the room that night. There was a man who also publicly humiliated and degraded another human being, also using an object. Mitt Romney was witnessed to have cut the hair of a classmate who was held down. And of course his sons will claim as a joke their faces being shoved in butter, but that's the lighter side of bullying.

Anyone else think this seems just a little too over the top? I mean seriously?

I'm not a betting man, but I'd put MONEY on this person being a plant and/or the story being fabricated on some level.

It's not that I really don't think racism doesn't exist, it's that you wouldn't find this behavior at a dang NASCAR after party, much less a political convention.

What rick santorum said is true. The vast majority of people are frightened to death to criticize any other race but its true. and nothing he said was racist. he should never have backtracked.
