Let's face it.

The tragic death of this young women is a convenient vehicle for you and others to grind a political axe.

It seems like YOUR political views prevent you from admitting that a woman was murdered for protesting. Wrong is wrong, regardless of party affiliation, race, religion, or creed.

Rachel Corrie justifiably earned herself the Darwin Award for a vain act of grandstanding before being able to reproduce. At least we can be thankful for that. She lied herself into the country, avoided security check points, and defied orders to leave the area. She broke too many laws to list. You do something stupid, you die. That's hardly Israel's fault.

I think it's your apologist attitude that is sad

How do you think the bulldozer driver feels, being accused of running someone over on purpose because you and others have a political axe to grind?

I don't imagine that you care.

Some eyewitness accounts indicate that when Corrie slipped and fell, the operator may have been looking behind him.

The bulldozer operator, a Russian immigrant to Israel, was interviewed on Israeli TV and insisted he had no idea she was in front of him:

"You can't hear, you can't see well. You can go over something and you'll never know. I scooped up some earth, I couldn't see anything. I pushed the earth, and I didn't see her at all. Maybe she was hiding in there."

Wikipedia

In any other instance, the driver would be responsible for the death of the person. Damn right he should feel something, HE IS RESPONSIBLE!

He murdered a woman, in cold blood. If you drove over someone and killed them you would be charged with murder. At the VERY LEAST you would be charged with manslaughter.

You are responsible for your own actions. If you are in control of a vehicle that kills someone it is YOUR FAULT.

But because she's a protester, that makes her death okay?

5 Independent investigations eh?
Can you provide a link on these 5 independant investigations?

Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA) wrote a letter to Israel asking for a more thorough investigation but nothing ended up happening

article from 2 years ago

the Corrie family had run into a series of administrative and legal brick walls in trying to get their daughter’s death independently investigated and to hold those responsible to account. Ariel Sharon, the Israeli prime minister at the time, promised a “thorough, credible and transparent investigation” regarding Rachel’s death. But instead, an internal military inquiry cleared the two soldiers operating the bulldozer. Since the entire incident was captured in pictures and on video, the results of the inquiry were widely criticized, including by U.S. officials. Human Rights Watch said it “fell far short of the transparency, impartiality and thoroughness required by international law”.

So where are your 5 independant investigations?

So let me guess this straight here. Are you saying that that justified her being run over and crushed by a bulldozer?

The lack of empathy regardless of people's stance on the Israeli-Palestine issue is disturbing.

It seems to be a common trait these days.

Some people will use all kinds of sick and twisted logic to excuse a disgusting regime of the crimes they've committed against Humanity.

That's religious extremism for you, quick to attack those they disagree with, and equally fast to abandon all reason and logic in their defense of a regime they're cheer leading for.

Lets face it, the fact that she was a protester defending Palestinians is a convenient excuse for you to abandon all logic and Human decency and blame the victim for being killed.

It is sad that a young women was run over by a bulldozer.

It is also sad that people are trying to convince others that the bulldozer driver did it on purpose.

edit on 28-8-2012 by ollncasino because: add photos

he did do it on purpose , there is a picture taken from behind Rachael facing the bulldozer driver and it is clear from the picture that he could see her , it was murder and Zionist Israel is the only country were people get away with murder daily

Civil living and war-time are different perspectives. DARE you call our forefathers whom fought the Independence War, Civil War, and WWII as 'murderers'?

Do make the difference. I know it is a bad time, but rationality must rule. It would be unconscionable if an innocent human was cut down, BUT EQUALLY and even worse, if we hang the supposed 'perpetrator' who is innocent. Thus the rule of law must come into place, or we mankind will only descend upon chaos and rule of the jungle, where none will survive.

As for those whom are asking who the 5 independent investigations were, wait for the full court report to come out. As as an addeum, do take note of the rest of my post to let the rule of law takes its place instead of letting emotions run high and saddle the baggages of the past upon the next innocent generations instead of acknowledging errors, correcting them to progress.

We mankind had seen enough of how simple folks had been manipulated upon emotions to achieve their own selfish agendas, and when awoken, regret to the very core of one's soul for the mistakes made. Do not make the same mistake please.

there is a difference between ww11 civil war an independence war they was wars and fighting each other , the bulldozer driver was not in a battle and neither was Rachael so there is no comparison between them , the driver is a cold blooded murder ,

This is all about saving face. Israel hopes this will all blow over in a week when the news drastically shifts back to the evil Iranians for pursuing nuclear energy. They don't even recognize the Corrie family i'd imagine..
