IMO this is a pathetic argument. I see you saying that "if we discipline the soldiers then the nasty enemy will be nice to us" Think about it. These maggots live for war and killing anybody that doesn't go along with them. Hell, they even beheaded some of their own just because they had a party and danced. The sooner that that type of semi human is removed from this earth, the sooner the rest of humanity can start looking towards a much improved future. It's just a crying shame that countries have to waste time, money, effort and lives to fight against backward, slimey, deceitfull, lying, muscle flexing maggots like the taliban and other radical nut cases. While I don't agree with their actions, and I certainly believe it dishonors America, the Marine Corps, all U.S. Veterans, and the U.S. military, I do not believe it is a crime that warrants prosecution. I am in favor of non-judicial punishment from their commanding officers. A little Captain's Mast will go a long way in helping them develop appropriate military etiquette. As i said already its war. That is not a pretty thing. How is riddling someones body with bullets, throwing explosives at them. knifing them etc,etc fine but when it comes to peeing on a corpse WOOAAAAAAAAAH now thats too much?

If anyone thinks soldiers of old abided by some type of honor code then they would be sorely disappointed to realize the world wasn't full of virtuous lancelots running around on the battlefield. If anything peeing on corpses is actually rather mild compared to many other things.

I have no problem with military doing their job, but I would like our military to do their job in a proper, professional manner, upholding basic human rights and civilised conventions.

If we are going to behave in a barbaric and uncivilised manner then we are no better than the terrorists we despise.
