EPA Levies $40,000+ Fines on Landlords Who Fail to Provide ‘EPA-Approved’ Pamphlets to Tenants

Wow, those are some outrageous fines, especially since no percentage of the fines are going back to the renters or buyers; all of it is going to the EPA. I can see a couple hundred dollars in fines, or so, but these fines are a little high.

It's about time. The regulation has only been in place since 1992! Not enough people take it seriously. The effects lead poisoning are permanent for little kids. It can affect adults too. It just takes more. Handing out a pamphlet is not a big deal.
