NEWS: Saddam Undergoes Hernia Operation

Saddam Hussein underwent a hernia operation 2 weeks ago in the Green Zone of Baghdad. He is now fit and well, and has made a complete recovery. Saddam Hussein was captured on December 13, 2003 by U.S forces.

BAGHDAD (Reuters) - Saddam Hussein (news - web sites) underwent a hernia operation at a U.S.-run hospital inside Baghdad's Green Zone two weeks ago and has made a full recovery, a U.S. military official said Wednesday.

The former Iraqi president, who was captured by U.S. forces on Dec. 13 last year, had previously received treatment for hernia problems and had suffered discomfort in recent weeks.

Hussein has had a past problem with hernia's, and it is reported that he was suffering discomfort and pain from the hernia. The operation lasted a little more than an hour and afterwards was returned to his cell. Treatment was recieved in Ibn Sina hospital which is known for also recieving wounded U.S. soldiers from all over the country.

Hussein was previously treated in July for hernia and kidney problems, he is expected to face trial for crimes including genocide next year.

It is suspected that this condition was worsened and/or aggrivated by having to remove his overweight carcass several times a day from the spider hole he crawled in and out of due to his extreme cowardass!

I was going to comment several days ago but held my tongue, however.. LOL...

If any of my tax dollars went toward this operation in the U.S. run local hospital in question...well I want that money back ! Or the appropriate number of stitches that I paid for promptly removed :p

This reminds me of that alcohol swab they are legally required to use right before administering a lethal injection. I apologize, but I can't muster any sympathy for this man. It may make me a bad person, but I'll deal with the karma issue I guess.
