You know, it could simply refer to London.

The British Museum had a rather large "Moctezuma: Aztec Ruler" exhibition a couple of years ago, where a macuahuitl-thingy (just a model) was displayed.

Could that be, what we are looking for?

My best guess is that the reference to Mortlake High Street refers us to St. Mary the Virgin church on that street. It is a historical location, partially depicted at the links below:

A quaint little graveyard that I would have never know about before.

Here we have a date.

The St Mary's we see today was built in 1543, replacing an earlier church that had been situated nearby.

A name

St Mary's also has a connection with the more famous John Dee, the Elizabethan mathematician and magician who had a home in Mortlake close to St Mary's.

And a strange stone

Sorry if I'm not understanding the path thus far, but I thought I'd share some info in case it holds some significance?

John Dee was buried at St. Mary's.

One of John Dee's artifacts was a Speculum or Mirror (an obsidian Aztec cult object in the shape of a hand-mirror, brought to Europe in the late 1520s)

And the first WIKI page in the OP is about an obsidian weapon used by the Aztec's.
[Interesting out-the-box side-note, but maybe it wasn't a weapon at all?]

Maybe we can find some more connections (if I'm on not completely off)?

There was another clue I left, that I can tell you about now... if you look at my signature you will see Nr 9-16, if you go back to Mortlake High Street (on google maps/street view) and look at the building next to the church, you will see a housing block, Nr 9-16 with a name above the entrance door....

Amazing what a few numbers and a link can tell you... huh. That's the first part of the secret revealed, the next part is coming in a few hours.

Hmm this will be yummy to watch. I'll go read the rest of this and see if I can see what's going on. As far as i can tell London has an Aztec museum in London

Dr John Dee (1527 to 1608) lived at Mortlake from 1565 to 1595 except for the 6 years between 1583 and 1589 when he was travelling in Europe.

Early in the 19th century the house was used for a girl's school.
