You know what?

You're not contributing anything positive to this subject.

There are people out there struggling to make this world a better place.

You want to help them? Don't make such a disgusting comment. Shame on those who starred your comment as well.

Your lack of optimism is a detriment.

I think he was implying TPTB would assassinate him.

Nevermind that I am tired of reading those same comments in threads like these, I don't think he/she meant anything too negative.

I've been looking forward to these moments, and I knew they weren't far off. The elite horde technology and control big pharmaceutical companies (along with everything else) - but it's only a matter of time before ordinary humanity attains technology advanced enough to start solving our problems on our own. Soon we won't need to rely on the study, research and tech of profit-driven corporations; we can follow our creative and intellectual abilities and regain total personal control over our lives.

About bloody time!

Carbon Nano Tubes

Sounds easy aside from the nano tubes. Note the list guys before big Pharma shut this down.

Yeah.. thats what we gleen from the video.. hopefully, that info is right.

Where do you get this stuff? Is the chart posted?

How much does a blood test for cancer cost anyway? I guess the key is early detection - But even if you have cancer, ( and we All do, it's a normal bodily process - it just gets out of control when your body loses the ability to fight it normally) then what.. you still have to go to the doctor and he will still give you drugs that dont work..

This Kid wants to help, he should design a better cancer fighter thats available for cheap to all.

He says he’s been contacted by four companies, including Quest Diagnostics, about potentially licensing or commercializing the idea. “I got a really fierce patent lawyer right after I won ISEF,” says Andraka, laughing, from his home in Maryland.

This kid isn't the first one to do this !

Update: Readers have pointed out that Andraka is not the first to create a sensor of carbon nanotubes coated with antibodies. Here is a paper from 2008 by researchers at the University of Delaware who created an exceptionally sensitive sensor for cancer breast cells, and a July 2009 paper from researchers in South Korea working with prostate cancer cells.
Looks like this kid may have stolen other work.

Maybe he wants them to?

Don't wish such ignorance upon the efforts of others.

I challenge you to be as creative because I don't think you can.
