For some reason this immediately brought to mind a snippet I saw on the MSM the other day saying how Americans are actually UNDER taxed compared to other countries... I want to say we were like 6th on the list... It was like they are trying to convince us that we should be paying way more since some nations are taxed at nearly 50%... My grandpa used to say you can't squeeze blood from a turnip... How much farther can they push us before we either break or start pushing back?

The measure of our global society is not how many rich people there are, but how many poor people are taken care off. Proportionally the US used about 20% of the worlds resources whilst making up for 5% of the population. They take more than there far share from the planet. It would not hurt to give some back.

To put it into perspective. More aid is given to Israel than the whole of Africa by the US.....

And that there is the idea!
"We will keep our boot on the back of your neck until you die or revolt, if you revolt, we get to kill you with our drones and troops"!
In my opinion the best option is to just opt out and let the machine starve.
This idea can work with many BIG problems, we just have to be united in our cause.

You know I'm not a fan of taxes at all so from an outsiders perspective I would say this reminds me of the tax battle between the upper and lower classes in the US. In the US the lower classes don't think the rich pay enough taxes, by and large, and the upper class thinks they already pay too much. On the world stage the poorer countries think the richer countries should help out and the richer countries think they already help out too much.

Outsiders point of view.

Thinking people are REALLY waking up and starting to think a little deeper about the global tentacles of a few people and organizations.

The UN, imo, is a rapist if we allow such a tax to be imposed. That's right....I feel that strongly about it. Billions if not trillions of dollars have been poured into one poor country after another. And for what? For efforts that put a Bandaid on a problem that temporarily holds it together till it starts bleeding profusely again. Then a call goes out for more and bigger Bandaids. Hell!! Let's just TAX everybody on the planet so we can keep the Bandaid Scam going. No.

Have you ever examined the salaries of these people? The Secretary General makes almost a quarter of a million dollars annually besides his other perks. He lives in a UN-owned mansion on Sutton Place, in an exclusive neighborhood in Manhattan's East Side. The residence in Sutton Place is within walking distance of the UN Headquarters and has a view of the East River.

UN Salaries

I'm not saying that every single program is bogus. But, we need to examine, audit, and watch carefully who, what, when, where, and how the money is flowing.

YUP!!!!! Guess what???? You got it! It's called SOCIALISM. Get used to it!

Is it really Socialism?

Could it be that the major polluters are the Western Nations like America, and all their emmissions are causing global warming and poisoning the fish of the seas, and there should be some tax on them to help the 3rd World nations cope with the decline in their environment caused by the biggest consumers on the planet?

It's the same reason they tax cigarette smokers, who pollute the atmosphere for others who have to breathe in that smoke.

Why is it that all is fair when I'm taking from everyone around me to enhance my lifestyle, but if anyone wants a little back it's socialism?

It's not fair to take and not give back, it's capitalism. Give nothing back, but give a little to a government that determines what to give back to the peons that's socialism. Have a government that rations out everything, making sure to give itself more, that's communism. Sharing with everyone? Well that... That's just humanism.

The problem is that socialism never pans out and it ends up costing 10x the initial "estimates". People cannot be trusted with that kind of power. The world economy is almost toast so all we need is some "expert" to put the final nail in the coffin.

It always ends up with someone having too much power that they cannot be trusted with. With pure capitalism the government cannot stop monopolies or even slavery so it starts out as a race, the people race to start their little businesses and after enough time and competition has passed one reigns supreme over all the people and abuses that power to no end I might add.

With socialism we have the exact problem you just described, the corporations end up in never ending competition which costs too much, money is being spent on hurting the competition which ends up stifling research and development to no end.

With communism there is no race, the government, which is not called government, has all the power because they make all the rationing decisions. Obviously no one could be trusted to make these decisions, they'll simply ration out themselves 90% of everything and then give everyone else an equal dividend of the remaining 10%. Communism essentially starts out where capitalism ends up and socialism is some disgusting hybrid of the two.

Barack and Joe's Global Poverty Act didn't pass so the UN just decided to try to stick to us anyway. What's new. This is World Socialism at it's best and brightest. The world hates the US so just take what they want.

“Humans do not effect climate.”
Carseller4
I realize that this is a conspiracy site. However, claiming that every reputable scientific organization ( and they ALL agree that humans have caused change in global temperature) is part of a conspiracy seems like tin foil hat time.
N.A.S.A, National Geographic, and all the following (American Meteorological Society, Royal Meteorological Society (UK), …etc)
en.wikipedia.org...
agree that humans have had a significant effect on global temperature. Heck! For God’s sake haven’t you been noticing the weather lately?
www.nasa.gov...
www.huffingtonpost.com...
www.mlive.com...
www.cbc.ca...
Anyway, Carseller4 who is behind this massive conspiracy? Bigfoot?

I give a 1 finger salute to this idea. If memory serves, they tried this proposal back in 03 on a global scale. You already have DC sending out money everywhere just to have a say in what these countries are doing.
""In a resolution, the Republican National Committee made clear its objection to “three global taxes and a global monetary governance mechanism to raise $400 billion a year to aid developing countries.""

Washington Times

WHEN are WE going to tell the United Nations to STICK IT IN THEIR GIGGY WITH A HAY RAKE ?
They want US to support the 3rd world nations ? Not on your life. Those people have resources, but
if they didn't have DICTATORSHIP's and COMMUNIST Governments, they might be productive themselves.

For more then 30 years I have been watching TV ads for starving nations, Ethiopia for 1.
Why aren't they doing better after 30 years?
those ads bug me so much too. why?
if the mother and fathers weren't feed by someone else years ago, I geuss the kids would not be here now, looking for the same handout.

Maybe they need to be sterilized so not to have more starveing kids. yea I said it.
Why feed someone today if they are going to have more kids that we are going to have to feed tomorrow ?

Global warming doesn't have anything to do with the 3rd world starveing , does it??? NO

After 30 years I would hope people would stop being in places where no one could live without moden devices such as a water pump and where the soil is sutable for growing foods and have livestock.

I say the US not pay another dime to the UN. Let other countries that have not paid in many years to pay up.
also China needs to move up the percentage that they give.

I could care less that the US useing most of the worlds resources, we pay for them.
US people on their own already give alot without being told to.

Now if we have to pay for the UN tax I bet those handouts will dry up becasue who will want to give freely if your told you now have to pay a tax as well.

I think the US people need to start keeping and doing for the US people only for awhile let the world find out what it's really like to have the US out of it.
I think the US needs to pull most of it's humanitarian efforts if this is the way the UN wants have it.

It's time for : Feed a person for a day or teach them to feed themselfs for a life time.
Screw to 3rd world if they don't want to learn.

Do you think that someone that is working for minum wage in another country and barely makeing things meet and 1 paycheck away from liveing on the streets should help you. NO way.

As an American I say tuff sh*^ let them starve.

I'm on the low end of middle class in America and do without as it is everyday for my kids so they can have it a little better then I had it growing up. But I would work even harder if need be to make sure my standard of liveing didn't change for me or my kids.

but I will not work harder for some baby/kid/person in another country to live if I don't have to.It's not my job to feed them and let them have it handed to them.

If I actually believed that the UN was a non-corrupt, efficient, noble organization motivated purely by the greater good of all of our species, I would actually support this 100% I don't care if that makes me an "evil socialist slimeball" in people's minds.

Unfortunately, I do not. The amount of money the UN spends relative to the good that is actually accomplished is one of the most appalling examples of inefficiency and corruption in recent memory in my opinion.

Good luck with that UN. No matter your political persuasion, there's no way that one would fly. As it is, the UN gets taxpayer money via the dues the U.S. pays.

Yeah...not to mention the fact that we're flat broke.

Tell me...what precisely are they going to "tax"? Our net worth as a nation is an astronomically negative figure.

They're about 40 years too late on this idea.

I pay taxes on everything I buy, on my land. I pay taxes to the schools and I dont even have children. I pay taxes to work in this city. Why should I pay more taxes? Why should there be a global finance tax?

What about the BILLIONS upon BILLIONS upon BILLIONS in charity money that has been raised every year, for DECADES for 3rd world countries?! What is the point of having these charities if:

a) The money doesn't seem to have done ANYTHING.
b) They are just going to tax us on it anyways...

How ridiculous, why don't the people from 3rd world countries get helped to become integrated into more prosperous countries? You could argue that it's because they want to live in their homeland, but if living in your homeland comes before your survival and wellbeing, then that is just being bad at being human.

I will never support the U.N in any way. I will not fund them through a tax or any other way. The U.N is an enemy of freedom and the entire world. I wish it to go the way of the Dodo bird.
