You are right about a lot of the injustices and it will always go on as usual if nothing is done. A good example is Africa and is large resources for it's economy. But I for one always take a stand that it is not always America's fault nor is it just Americas responsibility to fix it alone - what a joke. Why is it always America's fault? Why are we always to blame? Are we the only ones that have screwed up the world?

I personally think Obama put the idea in the UN's suggestion box.

The people Israel are the Lord's portion, called to be His lamps in the world. He blesses, and those blessings have been so evident to all of us as we look upon those nations who were heads and shoulders above the rest in resources, fertility and minimal disease. But the other side of the coin is this; as those lamps grow dim and are extinguished, those blessings go away. The UN is simply the agent. They say that it is in the name of "equalising", and in essence it is, because we too reject Him like those other nations.. The secular saying is applicable... You don't know what you are missing until its gone. Unfortunately, it will also set up us to accept the soon arriving son of perdition because most will not realise that it is a love and obedience to God that went missing.

Two Cow Politics

Socialism : You have two cows. You keep one and give one
to your neighbor.

Communism : You have two cows. The government takes them
Both and provides you with milk.

Fascism : You have two cows. The government takes them and
sells you the milk.

Bureaucracy : You have two cows. The government takes them
Both, shoots one, milks the other, pays you for the milk, and
Then pours it down the drain.

Capitalism : You have two cows. You sell one and buy a bull.

Corporate: You have two cows. You sell one, force the other to
produce the milk of four cows and then act surprised
When it drops dead.

Democracy : You have two cows. The government taxes you
To the point that you must sell them both in order to
support a man in a in a foreign country who has only one cow

All of the above?

anarchy...you have two cows, people come and shoot you, and take both cows.

ron paul government...you have 2 cows, people come over to buy some milk, you tell them to get their own cows if they want milk

romney government...you have 2 cows, romney buys up all the livestock feed and water rights, you get desperate and have to sell him the cows and your land.

Far lefts gov't:.... you have 2 cows, 1 black one white.. The white one is milked every day and then executed when powder starts coming out.
The black one becomes wagyu

New left: You have 2 cows, both for meat production, not dairy,. The farmer is accused of crimes and his cows taken by a lynch mob.
Before they can even get off the property, the cow is tortured and eaten limb from limb. Instead of breeding the cows, they had a free snack because the farmer was "generous".
Then they move on to the next guy down the lane

True.....I don't see any of the third world countries that we are have been contributing to, jumping to the front of the line to help us out of our financial debt.

Love hearing someone talk about thinking about things from a Humanitarian point of view, and yes the US has put a lot of economic and social constraints. This should be discussed.

I wonder how long it will be until the greed of our system, top down, is so obvious we are forced to look in the mirror.

I'm afraid that the UN has no authority to impose such a tax on the American people..So they can just go sit in a dark corner of their Tower of Babylon.

In theory, this is a good thing. The only thing that irritates me is that how can we be sure our money is going to people in need? Also, why aren't the people with vast amounts of wealth required to give up a sum of their earnings? There are people in the world with enough resources to solve all of our problems but greed is preventing them.

I propose we tax all 3rd World countries for all the Internet scams, credit card fraud, counterfeit goods, etc which originate 90+ percent from those locations.

If I had my way, we'd take the top Internet fraud countries each year and lock them out of the Internet until their governments / police start cooperating. Most Ebay fraud and even retail online stores that take people's money and either ship them nothing, a crappy counterfeit or a rock are perpetrated by people in E Europe, Africa, India and good ole Asia (Thailand, China, Taiwan).

The issue has gotten so bad that online sites for hiring techs are now flooded by people who will take the project deposit and never deliver anything. They just keep setting up accounts and ripping people off. They can make a few thousand before getting banned which is a lot of money in some places.

Internet based fraud has gotten so bad that now even people in the US are able to rip off other people in the US and get away with it. There's so many cases from the 3rd World the AGs don't even bother to pursue it unless it gets into the billions of dollars taken.

These people think we're all loaded and rich so we deserve to be stolen from. Nice to see that same attitude pervading the UN and even our own US Govt....

sure why not , throw one more tax on the barbeque,
well IM for it! so long as we make new law we cant give money any other way, except through the new tax,and that the tax cannot be based on individual countries needs, as in a flat tax rate, whether large country or small, this will help curb larger countries asking for money and smaller countries will get more than they need, small country gets more money than it needs faster, projects in country get finished poof they don't need as much in future and or get out of situation in which they need a tax buffer. That way our awesome allies wont get to double dip, while poor countries that truly need money get shafted with 20k for a 400 million dollar water project.
i mean we get shafted giving hundreds of millions to billions of dollars away every year to countries and we don't even here about it till years later and its like wtf did we give them that money for. and yet sit there watching on tv we have to reduce spending on health care, education, infrastructure ect ect, then you add up what we gave x,y,z country money for and its like um wth about us!!!

The U.S. has and does withhold a large portion of it's dues over many concerns and issues. It's controlled by Congressional legislation.

That might cause an adverse diplomatic reaction. I'd advise against.

Why shouldn't there be a global financial tax ? I've to pay tax on just about everything I buy, every ha'penny I save yet hundreds and hundreds of billions of pounds, dollars & euros float around cyberspace every single day ... yet none of that is taxed at all ? That isn't fair.

Some here should stop spinning this as a "US versus the rest of the world" issue ... it simply isn't.

Instead, it's the decent ordinary people versus the banks.

This sums up the problem I have with this site, other sites and a lot of what I see on the internet in general. I understand that Americans are very proud of being American and what America has done in a relatively short history*. And, at the same time, there's some really tuned-in Americans here that can see the way things are happening with the world regarding banks, global elite, etc.

Yet, when it comes down to it, at the slightest opportunity to demonstrate American patriotism or exceptionalism &c, perspective goes out of the window. What is an ostensibly world-wide problem with an elite that doesn't recognise any national borders and we're all 'sheep to be slaughtered' whether we are in Paris, Texas or Paris, France, suddenly gets viewed through a 'USA OK! USA #1!' lens.

Why should anyone or any country have to finance a global organization that is an unelected bunch of greedy self serving parasites. If the U.N was genuine about solving problems then the problems such as poverty would have been solved years ago as they have not lacked the resources to do this. To provide fresh water and food to poor countries does not cost very much money at all compared to the resources that organizations such as the U.N have. By supporting organizations such as the U.N all you are doing is supporting the elites and their agenders of genecide and enslavement of mankind. These people are evil.

I just can't resist noting here that 10 years ago, you would have been looked at like a radical tin foil hat type to suggest the UN would levy any form of global tax, too. It's been a loooong 10 years, eh?

I'm not sure if you noticed I was being sarcastic. The UN is a huge failure and yet it hasn't collapsed thus far..
Why?

either you will consent, else it will be taken without your consent or knowledge. that much is obvious.

You're naive to think this movement is a joke. Trillions of dollars have been sent to africa alone and they're worse off now, than ever. Why is that? Because it's a scam and the money is skimmed to the bone before it even gets there probably.
This whole globalist notion of carbon taxes, redistribution of wealth and reparations is just an idiotic mistake made possible by emotional and gullible young people. They own your emotions
On top of your student loans collecting interest, each person owes tens of thousands to cover the national debt, and not even half of those are of working status or condition.
This whole "world socialism" experiment is ridiculous

Not as ridiculous as thinking it's 'socialism' though*. I'm finding this kind of accusation mind-boggling. It's anything but socialism.

*not an accusation I'm directly levelling at you as you've put this in inverted commas/speech marks, maybe to draw special attention to how you're using the phrase, I don't know.

Seems a lot of these "truth-ey" sights have recently seen an uptick in the % of people who tend towards political tribalism that their sense of reality (and what's real, actual fact) seems hopelessly warped. I'm sure there's several political trends that can account for this. I just get tired of hearing "SOCIALISM !!! ", "OMGZ" "Obama=antichrist/foreigner/marxist/etc." (*head splode*) the hot air people manage to spew without even having so much as one cell in their body planted in reality. What boggles my mind is how one manages to be so wrong while also sounding so condescending, high and mighty.

I can understand this guy's train of thought sure, he got some credit card fraud malware of some sort from some nigerian prince and promptly extrapolated that all these evil foreigners were out to pray on his money and take advantage of his virtuous hard work (I won't go on about the numerous posts i see peppered with insinuations about 3rd world countries economic state being the fault of bad genes-'foreigners' lacking american exceptionalism, lazy poor people, 'people in mud huts buying nikes' i.e. inability to prioritize/stupidity, etc. etc.) Obviously nothing approximating the complex truth of poverty in the "3rd world", but rather something that seems more to be a reflection of an individual's own prejudices, fears, and a good dose of MM brainwashing doesn't hurt. Let's take this person's proposal that 3rd world countries be taxed as he believes that 90+ percent of cybercrimes, credit card fraud and counterfeiting originate from these countries.

Some research:
1. 35% of all malware, viruses, etc. originate from U.S. Of the top ten ALL are industrialized, large economy countries. [U.K., China, Japan, Germany, Sweden, Russia, Italy, Spain, Switzerland] source

2. Another article from forbes sites roughly the same number (U.S. at 35%, #1) with none of the other top ten countries being "3rd world" source

3. An older report that nevertheless has a detailed breakdown of complaints of internet fraud in the U.S. It lists the crime by category, including credit card fraud, check fraud, auction fraud, non-delivery, identity theft, "nigerian" letter fraud, etc. It has a break down on the criminals: 77% of perpetrators were male, 66% of criminals were from the U.S. mostly residing in CA, NY, FL, TX, DC. Those from outside the U.S. mostly came from U.K., Canada, Nigeria, China, South Africa. source

4. Stats for counterfeit goods were harder to find since so many go undetected. Most articles cite China as being the leader in production, a NY times article stated that 60% of items seized by the EU originated from China (but again, China is NOT "3rd world"). Another website had a breakdown of the market for illicit goods, obviously this is simple equation of supply/demand, the U.S. is just as much to blame for being the #1 consumer of counterfeit goods as China is for selling them to Americans. Other major markets include Mexico, Japan, Germany, Canada, U.K.. source

So I know that may have been a bit long and somewhat off topic, but my general point is that all it takes is a little bit of common sense and research so as not to look like a total loon with your head up your arse...And especially by all means people stop letting your prejudices dictate reality for you (perception does not always = true). I thought finding the truth meant identifying how those biases influence your opinions/thoughts and learning to make better judgements based on facts, research and one's own brain (as opposed to "ZOMG SOCIALISM" because Glen Beck et al. says so)...in this example, it's only common sense that both market size, commerce and language would play a big part in cybercrimes and other such fraud, most people in mud huts don't have computers or internet access, whereas most people in the english speaking countries where most of the monetary transactions take place do.

On the same note, thank you "Merriman Weir" for pointing out numerous times the egregious misuse of the term "socialism", and the many ameri-centric overreactions
