show some respect? for who? the dead? they're dead. they don't care. the police? no. on recent evidence they are likely to be formulating 'the truth' about this incident into the final 'approved' (fabricated) version. they are not to be trusted. i say speculate away. strike while the iron is hot.

I was just thinking the same thing about the gun laws in the city. So hows that working out for you NY. See laws don't prevent bad people from doing illegal things....

Hard to try and argue stricter gun laws when a shooting occurs in an already strict city.

How about you slow your criticism of members on this site a little.Yes people are speculating, because there is very little information to go on at this point. Every possibility is still on the table, whether you like it or not.

Yea but why does the majority of speculation have to be pointed at conspiracy.

1. Guns are already banned in New York.

2. Violent crime has always been in New York.

This is nothing new. Lack of information does not mean conspiracy. It just means that cops are probably still at the scene, removing the bodies, collecting evidence and cleaning up. Like I said, wait until the evening news and every thing will be made clear.

This website is claiming it started as an attempted robbery.

Of the nine victims, one was a 32-year-old woman who was shot in the leg. The extent of the injuries for the other victims is unclear.

Not all the victims were found at the intesection of 34th Street and 5th Avenue. Police continued to discover more victims in the area along 33rd Street and Fifth Avenue.

All victims are being transported to Bellevue Hospital, and two of them are listed in stable condition.

At least two (updated) confirmed dead
10 people injured.
At least four people shot.
FBI confirms this is not terror related.
May have been a dispute between co-workers according to preliminary reports.
Shooter reported dead, shot by police.

Fox national is saying that the shooter was fired from his job at the empire state building. Came back today and opened fire...murky info so far, says fox......

I was hoping that it would have been a citizen with gun rights or something. I wonder why people do not start rushing the fools who try to kill people in public places? Oh the spin on this one. As if it takes solely an armed police officer to stop the mayhem.
