I'm addicted to smiley faces. Its a major addiction, but I get most of my stuff as gifts.

There's a smiley face store that is selling their sign. This thing is big (sorry, no pic) and a couple thousand dollars.

I WANT IT!!!!

Ahhh! Now we see where your screen name comes from! Maybe something will happen and they can't sell the sign for as much as they are asking and they let you buy it for much cheaper. One can dream.... A grocery store here had a big stand up of the Pillsbury Doughboy and I went in at least twice a week to see when they were going to take it down and if they would sell it to me. I got lucky enough and when they were done with it, they let me have it for free. It was cardboard, but it was still pretty awesome. Bugging them to death is always an option!

another member tried to help, but i'm next to useless with a computer!

anyway, i'll type what i want
catapult
1967 mustand shelby GT
voice control for everything electric in my house
a marshall amp that 'goes to 11'! (spinal tap)
a penguin
corpse flower
and that bad ass chrome kangaroo you posted!!! thats awesome!

... just to name a few!

cool thread by the way! s&f 4 u !

Thank you!

I wouldn't mind having some of the things on your list either! A penguin would be awesome, as would a classic Shelby.

But I will break your fingers if you take my kangaroo...

If you go to "tools" at the top of your page and click on it you will see an option for "ATS Uploads". Click that and it will take you to a screen where you will see a button that says "Select Image File". Click on that and find the picture you want to upload. When you find it, click "Open" and should upload. When it's done you should see the picture you uploaded to your right. Click on the picture and it will give you 3 options. If you want to use the pic in a post, copy the code in the box under "Use In A Post". You should then be able to paste that code in the post and have the picture appear.

I hope I explained it good enough. Sometimes I am not so good with writing directions out. Let me know if it works. If it doesn't we will give it another go.

My preciousssssssssssssssssssssssssssss. Over £600 bloomin hell fire and that's not even counting the bustle crinoline for another lump on top.

LMAO! I love "Second Hand Items To Enjoy"!! I have not heard that before.

That is a lot of money for sure!! I do like it though. It has a certain something... An air of mystery so to speak. It's almost enough to make you want to learn how to sew so you can make one for yourself.

My dream is to have enough money to build a large storage type building with pool, darts, poker, and games for the kids and then open it up to my friends and family. Then everyone can come watch a movie and play games and socialize without breaking the bank everytime they leave the house.

That would really make me happy.

That would be awesome!! We have talked about doing that here in an old barn, but will never have enough cash to do it unless we win the lottery! I don't know many people who wouldn't love to have their own arcade games, etc. It is uber expensive though like you said. Totally worth it though if you had money to burn.

Wow that's actually a tough question. My addiction is futurama. I'm literally the type of customer the marketing team drools over. I'm bart simpson and futurama is my krusty. I've spent way too much on little figurines that just sit there, I get them as gifts as well.

But if I could treat myself to something I don't need?

www.languedocguitars.com...

From my name you can probably tell I'm a Phish fan. Well, this guy builds treys guitars and I think some of mike's basses. Hand crafted, from tools the guy hand crafted.

I honestly don't need a $10,000 guitar, but I would buy it right now if i could

Yup specialist stuff like this is well expensive, however even to make it yourself it would not be cheap because of the amount of fabric required, thread (which is a ridiculous price now) and all the small covered buttons etc, plus boning and possibly a pattern (which are also an outlandish expense now).

However you can put together a kind of similar look by putting something like this over a long black skirt.

I always loved this but sadly never had the barbie figure required for it.

and OMG you would just HAVE to have these as well!! (I sooooo love these)

This would also work if worn over a tight fitted black blouse and long black skirt. A skirt with a flat A front panel and more gathered or flared out back section is the best shape (a bit like wedding dresses)

Well, hope that has helped you to get at least part way to the look you desire for way less than £600.

Sorry I can't find a way of bringing the pictures into the thread, it is the 'getting the picture url' that is the problem here.
edit on 24-8-2012 by CthulhuMythos because: Fixed last link as it didn't work properly and added last line of txt

I want my ignorance back!
Really, to be able to wake up in the morning and believe that anything is possible for me would be great.
The hope knowing that doctors were actually researching for a cure to what ails the world and hope is just around the corner!
Knowing that my country actually pursues bad guys and stops them.
Knowing a bank is where your hard earned money grows.
I guess what I really want back is my sense of hope, but I have had waaaay too much coffee and am wide awake now.
Oh well, I'll just make my space as bright as possible and throw out serendipities here and there.
I want my hope back, how much does that cost?
Is that kangaroo RC by any chance?

Oh I do buy stuff here and there to knock up a great outfit and have lots of patterns that my ma in law is expert at making up, but it would be nice to have something uber spectacular, as you say the cost of materials alone can be hair raising. They have the most beautiful victorian mourning dress in York museum. Mr Suspiria had to pull me away to stop me dribbling all over the glass case.

Those boots are awesome btw. I might have to go off and cry now.
