it IS a strawman argument as we have been living with AP ammunition since around 1860 ... your paranoia about it is what's new ... at least with this generation anyway.

True in the big city, but not so much so in the small towns. Crime rates are lower so they have more time to get to know the members of the community.

Regardless of where you live though, you still want to do what they suggest by not reading things into what they say. Take it verbatim. Especially in the small towns.
