As to linuistic evidence from ancient Anatolia, I vote for Atlantis. The similarities are striking. "Catal Huyuk" in Anatolia, "Yucatan" in the Mayan area. "Cayonu" in Anatolia has the "Cay" common in the area of Bimini ("Bimini Road" is a feature attributed to Atlantis.) Ancient Atlantis in its last stages was supposedly called "Antillia," which resembles "Anatolia." Also, "Grand Turks" Island in the Caribbean.

I'm calling you out on the Grand Turk one, because I know better.

The name comes from a species of cactus on the island, the Turk's Cap Cactus (Melocactus) intortus, which has a distinctive cap, reminiscent of a Ottoman fez.

Grand Turk Island, Wikipedia

The Turks and Caicos Islands are named after the Turk's-cap cactus (Melocactus communis), and the Lucayan term "caya hico", meaning string of islands.

Turks and Caicos Islands, Wikipedia

The Turks & Caicos are named after a Lucayan description, and a plant resembling a known hat style. This is not linguistic evidence of Atlantis, these are syllables most mouths & vocal cords on the planet can utter in many combinations. A compelling case it does not make.

Of course it is easy to just cite "consensus" linguistics (based on the consensus that Atlantis didn't exist) and cite whatever other linguistic mechanisms of derivation the consensus overviews havew arrived at, but that doesn't disprove the alternative linguistic theory. A lot of people think Atlantis did exist. There are innumerable commonalities between the Carribean areas and Europe and Anatolia, too numerous to list here. Just focusing on Anatolia, the ancient name for "Antioch" was "Antakya" which calls to mind "Cay" as well as Atlantis. One possible meaning of the "Yu" in "Yucatan" or "Catal Huyuk" could be that it conveyed the same meaning as "Eu," meaning the early settlers from Atlantis were going to a new place that was "optimal" for them, at that stage of their progression to indenendent karmic development ("eu" signifying "optimal." -So there are different approaches to all this besides the official consensus formulas.
