Norway To Open Century Old Package

We have a time capsule about 100 years old in st joseph mich. Most people dont even know about it, its inside a hollowed out rock with a plaque over it, in a park downtown. Iirc it was placed to honor the citys centennial, and it says it contains documents from the citys founding. I suppose someone will dig it up in a thousand years

Its too bad most people dont do that sort of thing anymore...maybe i should make a time capsule

My bet is that it's just a basic "message to the future" thing with hopeful thoughts and well wishes. If we're lucky it has some predictions and such. Since it was written by that towns first mayor it more than likely was a feel good publicity stunt.

I'm mildly interested.

I see that someone already posted a "Doc Brown" joke ... who can get this one...

Guessing it's just gonna be some documents or pictures, letters... Nothing out of the ordinary at least. But I hope for something out of the ordinary!

After reading so many bad and unfunny predictions i have to urge you all to watch this video and be a lil bit more informed when making wild guesses.

One of the main things i gathered was that the content(s) of the package would be BENEFICIAL to FUTURE GENERATIONS. Also it was not the mayor that made the package.

I think it might be some guys head he had put in a sealed bag hoping that in 2012 when someone opened it we would have the tech to bring him back to life.

As is well known, a package will be opened in 20 minutes in norway, that has not been opened for 100 years.

I am a doctor, well known and well respected, and have spoken to the descendants of the man who put away the package, and inside it is a nuclear device which will go off within 15 seconds of being opened!

one thing i havn't found an answer to. why have they waited so long to open it? its august. was it handed in in august 1912? (would make sense)

if it was me i would have been on the dot new years eve 2011 ready to go cracking open this thing lol.

I was wondering the opposite. Why are they opening it early since it says August 26th?

But ofcourse i want it opened already cause i'm really curious to what's inside.

I reckon its got a mummified viking scrotum with a picture of a hedgehog crudely yet carefully drawn on it and a picked egg inside the package

After reading it back to myself it seems a bit unlikely, i reckon the hedgehog picture will be screen printed on!
