Apparently, Western Union screwed up, and somehow sent the package to Norway. So that means that Marty did not receive the package in 1985, and also that Marty did not go back to save Doc, who may still be trapped in The Old West..

What I really love about the package is seeing that it is stamped with wax, something that anybody would know was opened from it's origination. It hasn't been tampered with, by all appearances.

It looks really jam packed with a lot of information, so, I only wish I could see the live streaming of it being opened!

I apologize people for being anal but I wanted to make a universal correction. Misuse of the language drives me nuts. Again, my apologies, but the correct phrase is 'piqued my interest'. Not peaked, perked, picked or peeked.

No mattter what, it will be interesting to see what is inside of it. 100 years ago in Norway? After a google search, it says that 100 years ago was the first time that Norway had complete independance from foreign control. Wonder if it has anything to do with that.

The dude who packaged it was a local politician who helped organize the celebration of the battle I linked a few posts above in 1912.

My guess is that it is something to help celebrate it for the 2012 bash.

Maybe a photo of everyone naked at the 1912 after-party... had to wait 100 years to make sure everyone expired.

Thanks for that link it was interesting, to listen to the locals discuss it. One guy said it could contain papers, or so he thought from the weight and feel of it. Tomorrow we shall discover the contents, of this 100 year old puzzle.

100 years old is pretty cool in itself... I am going to guess that the mayor was a part time psychic seer and has made predictions for the next 100 years.
