No, it isn't "mere" speculation; it's an explanation based on evidence, in other words, it looks at all of the evidence the things that we know for sure, and then it creates and explanation based on that.

Couldn't the same thing be said for Perfection? Once you see everything is perfect that is when you experience peace, tolerance, care, love, and happiness?

I thought about that, but perfection is very complicated. It has a lot to do with opinion. In my body, the thought of peace is much more relaxed than perfection. So I went with peace lol
