I'm from Indiana, but this is news to me. The area I'm from doesn't have too bad of crime levels, but I guess it's a bit different up north.

If they were really going after organized crime they should have simply surrounded the state legislature.

LOL just think of how much better things would be if they did.......I think they should do a national sweep.....it certainly would make us even with the American people... LOL

Look what you made me do...I snorted a Cheetos.....

Call me paranoid, but, immediately it springs to mind that any story they want to let out will suffice for most of the people.
They....can say anything they damnwell please!
organised crime, White supremesists,Motorcycle gangs, Gun Runners, Moonshiners, bank robbers...anything they want.....
But are they really doing what they tell us? The whole thing is run on lies now......it cant go on forever this way either.....
I sometimes wonder....about undercover cops, and how much evil gets punished verses how much evil goes unpunished when they bring one out of Deep Cover, and do the busts.....
The higher the agent in the underworld chain, the bigger the list of things that occurred to put him there in with the criminals and keep him in there for years sometimes....
The total of criminal acts must mount up after time....
Do you think it may have some impetus to add to the overall crime rate?
Like the Gunwalkers.....then suddenly theres thousands of weapons wreaking havoc on people who actually bleed and die right there when riddled.....
Courtesy of STUPID LEOs?
Somehow i think a much deeper game was afoot.......
Now If nobody traced the agents deathwounds to the gunwalked weapon.....
They could have gone on a while longer with their anti gun scheme......
The total misery in human bodies would be still piling up in Mexico and here.....
Due to police work?
Just imagine who all would be alive today, and in future, if they hadnt attempted to pull this piece of idiocy off......
The FBI ITSELF rigged the FIRST WTC bomb! and delivered it to the terrorists!
Undercover work sure has changed........they used it to stop crime before......
Now they are using the acts comitted upon THEIR OWN PEOPLE to steer America in the direction of naziism.

So the DEA, and ATF aren't included in the drug/gun running raid? Interesting.

But the FBI are?

Kind makes one wonder.....

The DEA and ATF are out doing the drug and gun running.

They have to keep up with the CIA somehow...

Well I doubt that's what's going on here, but I wouldn't call it highly unlikely since this wummer we have had; a veteran arrested for anti government facebook posts (which weren't very extreme or threatening), and several houses raided in Oregon which were suspected of having printing antiugovernment documents (pamplets, zines, etc).

We aren't as free as we used to be for sure, and the stated possibility becomes less unlikely each day.

I live in central indiana, and work in central/southern indiana...

this was news to me, when i read this thread just a few minutes ago. another poster mentioned the biker gang raids-

i personally know many of the members from this "gang"- www.wane.com...

they were nothing more than a bunch of guys with money, and bikes, whom decided to venture in to extortion. not a big powerful biker gang lol

this raid intrigued me...so i google searched...and this was the first link...
abclocal.go.com.../local/indiana&id=8782778

that explanation makes perfect sense to me...trust me lol

i have relatives who have lost close to 6 figures worth of currency and product because the distribution chain was recognized...this has been going on for years

so sad to hear it may be at an end lol

take that for what its worth...and always choose the high road

FBI conducts statewide raids of drug, gun-running organizations.

If that were true, not only would their own officers be in prison, but the White House and other federal agencies would be prosecuted too. This implies that drug and gun running are political crimes and those incarcerated are political prisoners.

LOFL WOW. you really are completley utterley without a flippin clue...

It astonishes me how ignorant people must be to really think this type of thing doesnt happen.

I am in Lafayette Indiana, and yep, I can confirm that they are very much here.

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Indiana division of the FBI confirmed agents are in Lafayette Wednesday as part of an ongoing state-wide investigation. 300 FBI agents were deployed across the state as part of the investigation into a methamphetamine ring that was run from an Indiana prison with the help of corrections officers according to a federal indictment.

Indiana is riddled with crime. If you can name it you can find it here. It probably has something to do with motorcycle gangs or methlabs but i wouldn't be surprised if child porn came up to be what this is about. My city has a chapter of the outlaws. I will keep my eyes open.

Could it be that the "DRAKE" arrests have started in Indiana and the Whitehats are finally feeding on the cancer within the Federal government?

Or, a kind of feeding on itself?

Who knows.

They are rounding up the Amish organic-milk-pusher gangs. Very dangerous folk since they only accept cash or barter.

If they are after meth then they should be all over Evansville. Meth is one of vanderburgh counties biggest exports.

UPDATE: Vanderburgh County again has most meth labs in state

EVANSVILLE — The 116 meth labs discovered in Vanderburgh County in 2011 not only were the most in the state, but topped the list by a significant amount. The second most, according to numbers released Friday by the Indiana State Police, were the 71 found in Elkhart County, along the Michigan border. It’s the second straight year Vanderburgh County has topped the list.

The cops caught one guy driving down the road while people were making meth in the camper of his truck.

When is the fed going to learn the war on drugs is a lost cause.

Very true, I used to live in Knox county, and i have never seen it as bad as I did when I lived there. The police really don't care either, they are much more worried about getting money from the college kids at the university.

Does anyone have any idea what this could be?

Three hundred agents in a coordinated raid seems like a rather large operation for Indiana.

My first guess was a state wide drug bust but then I realized the DEA would probably handle that type of operation and it's the FBI who made the rather hush hush press release.

The lack of details leaves room for a lot of speculation which also gives us the chance to let our imaginations run wild which I am trying not to let happen, I would like the facts to this investigation.

Any ideas or confirmation from any members from the Indiana area?

I live in Indiana and have not heard anything. I will look into it and see if I hear anything. My guess is a drug ring raid. Since it happened at three prisons, there must be administration involved. Guards and Wardens might be investigated. Pendleton is the state reform for boys.

I was going to say. If it is the FBI running it, it is a lot more than a large drug raid. It might be organized crime with arms sales.

According to Inqizitor, the raid involved not only drug arrests but ties to White Supremacists. The Aryan Brotherhood has "infiltrated" the prisons.
