More body parts were discovered this weekend related to a gruesome discovery of a woman's head, hands and a foot in the river.

Seems we have ourselves another serial killer on the loose up here in Canada. Magnatta fanfare? They're beginning to give us a bad name. So far no world of it in the United States or around the word? Surprising since we just had body parts mailed to the ministers of parliament a few months ago and created a global spectacle.

Why would this be a serial killer?

There has only been one body found.

Just because it's gruesome, does not mean its serial.

The world is utterly disgusting and violent. There are so many deranged and mentally ill people out there it just makes me sick to my stomach...and people wonder why I choose to be a home body! My heart goes out to the family (families) involved.

No this one wasn't. I'm not sure why you're trying to tie this in with Magnotta though, whos murder was reported here. This seems to be a whole different thing.

Oh I'm not trying to connect it. But nonetheless, dismemberment seems to be a running trend. That's all.

straying kinda off topic here, but I think i remember seeing a documentary about the whole feet thing, they eventually worked it out to be from people who jumped off of cliffs/bridges etc and because they were wearing trainers that protects the feet a little longer than the rest of the body from decomposing then because a trainer floats on water it bobs up and follows the current and ends up washing up on shores that are near each other.

I gotcha,it sounds like you guys are shell shocked. I'd assume you're from Canada? Are you surprised this has happened? Did the Magnotta case rock your world? I ask because I'm curious

No it really didn't. It briefly made the news here in the US...most people can see him for what he is and didn't give him attention.

And I read about Mr Pickton before, one sick dude.

What's stopping it from not being serial?
Just because only one body has washed up doesn't mean it's going to be the only one.
