Pakistan test fired a Nuclear-Capable missile on Tuesday. Pakistan military spokesman, Major-General Shaukat Sultan said the test was that of
boosting defenses, not a show of strenght for rival India. India expressed little reaction. External Affairs Ministry spokesman Navtej Sarna said,
"We were informed as per normal practice."

The test came at the start of two days of talks between Pakistani and Indian border officials in the Indian city of Chandigarh, their second meeting
this year since regular contacts were revived to discuss frontier issues.
Pakistani military spokesman Major-General Shaukat Sultan said the missile test was meant to "validate its design parameters."
"Our missile test is not meant to send any signal to anyone," he said.
India was informed beforehand about the test of the Ghauri V missile, which has a range of 930 miles. The launch, at an undisclosed location, was
witnessed by Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, an army statement said.

The Pakistani military said Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz witnessed the test of the Hatf V, a type of Ghauri missile with a range of 940 miles --
capable of hitting most Indian cities and which can carry a payload of 1,985 lb.
It said the test had been successful.
Despite the peace process that began early this year, both countries routinely conduct missile tests. Pakistan also test-fired the Ghauri missile on
May 29 and June 4.
