You know this could all be done to keep Palistaian refuges out of Egypt should Iran and Israel go at it.
Remember, no one over gives a dam about the Palistaians, other than using them as a chip to criticize Israel.

Some of the conditions of the treaty have been broken, but the treaty still is intact. But Morsi the Egyptian president is looking for new allies in the middle east and from asia.

His upcoming visit to China and Iran, says it all really.

meaning if Iran does attack Israel

Don't you mean if Israel does attack Iran?

If they retaliate, of course, is what I meant.

I doubt Egypt will strike first on Israel. They will likely strike, however, if war between Israel and Iran breaks out..

Israel attacked Egypt first the last time there was a regional war, because they saw them building up and up.
So IAF destroyed all their airfields, receptively. Allowing them to win the war.

It's very hard for a nation to fight a war on many fronts.

Israel has fought on many fronts 3 times in the past.. and "won" every time.
To the victor go the spoils, doesn't apply to Israel.

It would seem the Israelis are far more well versed in the art of war than those they face.

These countries seem to march head long into their own destruction with simple misdirection and poking at them in the right spot.

People forget the lessons of the 6 day war, Israel is far more formidable than any of the surrounding countries.

Add to that they have the keys to Americas war chest, and the will to do what others wont... Well I can see your theory of them HAVING to set it up so they have every "right" to respond.

With "blow back" being the intended goal to justify the response.

You know, kinda how we invaded Iraq with 911 and WMD as an excuse.

Oh boo-hoo a sovereign nation is doing things inside it's own borders without "Israel's permission" The nerve.

Good, I hope the whole ME bands together and reclaims all the land Israel STOLE from Syria, Egypt, and Jordan. Doubt it would ever happen or be successful, but I can hope. It's evidently OK for the wannabe-Nazi Israelis to go around stealing land from its neighbors and committing genocide, but when other countries do it they are bad guys. Treat the Arabs and Palestinians like Hitler treated the Jews and somehow have the full support of the west. Just disgusting.

I'd agree this is probably in anticipation of a war between Iran and Israel. Either to protect themselves in the even Israel gets all uppity and starts attacking all of its neighbors and not just Iran (which wouldn't be a big surprise for war-mongering, land stealing Israelis) or to try and reclaim their stolen land from Israel, hoping that the conflict with Iran would distract Israel enough to allow Egypt a victory. Again, it won't even happen, but we can hope.

Just wondering....

How many ME countries really want to see Iran with a nuke?

Also, just how many ME countries secretly want Israel to hit Iran while they pretend to be strongly against any such action in public?

That isn't Morsi -_-

You are correct, but Morsi is sitting 5 feet from the speaker. Obviously, he supports this message. This was during his election campaign in late May 2012. This was predicted in the Holy Bible!

Isaiah 19 King James Version (KJV)

19 The burden of Egypt. Behold, the Lord rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.

2 And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.

3 And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.

4 And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce kingshall rule over them, saith the Lord, the Lord of hosts.

Haven't finished reading the thread yet but wanted to ask this. Why does Israel have to give permission to Egypt to do anything within it's own borders? I mean we don't have to ask Canada or Mexico to fly helicopters near their airspace, but I'm sure we probably do anyways as a courtesy.

If Egypt wanted to put it's whole military on it's border with Israel, don't they have that right as a sovereign country? I do understand that it might violate the treaty they signed together but with a new government you have to expect some shake ups.

It takes two to tango. Both countries feel they have the right to land, considered holy. You have a right to do what you want ever you want in your own country. Without the permission of your neighbor. However, when you actions threaten the security and peace of another's country. Do not foolishly expect a non-response. Being wiped of the map, or being proclaimed an insult. Is an easy way to add fuel to a fire, long burning with hatred. If certain ME countries attack is real en masse. They should expect a swift and fierce response. I disagree with the members who say Isreal will not go nuclear. I believe they will if pushed too. They are surrounded by countries whom historically, want them gone. On the other side of that coin if Iran has nuclear capability I do not doubt they would use that ability if they felt it was needed. Bottom line here folks. Nuclear option. Not only a bad idea for both countries but a bad idea for us all. This action by either side, will draw the rest of the world in. I sincerely hope that it does not come to this. Believe me when I say, no one gets what they want here.

I'll post an entirely different scenario about ME war. Russia and China get involved because they want the oil. Th

They also don't want to have to deal with a bunch of religious fanatics that are always praying, and killing eachother.

War breaks out, Russia and China kill off as many islamists as they can and take over Iran, Iraq, Syria, Egypt - who cares about Israel.

Both Russia and China have had to deal with those darn islamist in their own countries, and don't like it.

Remember Obama's off-mic statement to Medeved? I'll have more wiggle room after the election. Who is Obama going to side with?

Maybe that's why Netanyahue(spelling?) is eager to start the war quickly and get it over with.

Just thought I would point out the weirdness happening in the middle east over the past 33 years. Starting from 1979 onward things look like we're reenacting the end time prophesies of Daniel.

And I would point out this detail. In Daniel 8 it was foretold at the start of the end times 2 nations/kings would be conquered in what had been Persia. Today's middle east. And It would appear that we are just about to do the next step of the Daniel 8 prophecy.

Namely the killing of the ram of Daniel 8. Which is understood to be the nation of"Persia". Today's Iran.

Since according to the Matthew 24 prophecy the rebirth of the nation of Israel in 1948 could be interpreted as a end time event I would ask the question.

IS CONQUERING IRAN A END TIME EVENT FORETOLD BY DANIEL?

Something to think about.

Egypt hasn't broken the Treaty and, to be honest, you've all jumped in with both feet without looking.

Egypt deployed troops into the Sinai to combat Islamists who have been attacking their border posts. This was done with the agreement and full knowledge of the Israeli's. Egypt even agreed, while they were there, to demolish the tunnels into Gaza. On top of this, they have also done a deal with the local Bedouins to combat the Jihadi's.

This is all pretty common knowledge for anyone who has been following the news. The fact that many, if not all, of you have jumped in and presumed this is a prelude to War is just proof positive you're all doom porn fanatics who'll believe whatever they want.
