Egypt Breaks Peace Treaty With Israel

The radio station's Arab affairs analyst, Eran Zinger, reported Saturday that Egypt has deployed both anti-aircraft and anti-tank missiles near Israel’s border in the Egyptian Sinai, without Israel’s permission.

Such equipment is prohibited in Sinai by the Egypt-Israel peace treaty. “Egypt is trying to change the situation in Sinai,” Zinger said.

Oh yeah..this is whats its about, so the recent deal to supply several thousand tons of diesel to ships stationed around Syria is actually spot on.

The Russian ships that deployed the their special forces left early this morning and have left the battle ready ships in location.

Wait, why would Iran attack Israel, it's Israel who's been itching to go to "war," meaning have us fight the war for them while they spew their rhetoric.

Regardless, Egypt is under new rule; this is one of the problems with revolution: the new leaders don't always know what the hell they are doing and they end up escalating tensions. I doubt Egypt will strike first on Israel. They will likely strike, however, if war between Israel and Iran breaks out. It's very hard for a nation to fight a war on many fronts.

Not only that but what about the Egyptian president going to meet with Iran's Ahmadinejad?

Assuming these reports are correct. Israel just found itself in a much tougher position.

On August 30, Morsi plans to attend a summit in Tehran, marking the first such visit by an Egyptian president in decades.

According to a weekend report on Voice of Israel radio, Egypt has deployed anti-aircraft and anti-tank missiles close to Israel's border, raising concern that Morsi's intentions go beyond clearing the Sinai desert of jihadist cells.

The 1979 peace treaty between Israel and Egypt limited military presence in the desert peninsula though in recent years Israel agreed to allow Egypt to deploy more forces there to stem weapons smuggling by Palestinian gunmen and other crimes.

After the border attack this month, Egypt launched a joint army-police operation that has raided militant hideouts, arrested their members and seized weapons.

Israeli officials, who say they are in regular contact with Cairo, have encouraged Egypt to take tough action against the gunmen responsible for the assault and have previously allowed the use of helicopters in the operation.

No one has claimed responsibility for the killing of the border guards but a Sinai-based Islamist militant organization, the Salafi Jihadi Group, warned the Egyptian army last week that the crackdown would force it to fight back.

So whats going on, two identical reports but reporting two completely different version of the deployment. Psyops has been engaged.

They are reasserting their control over the Sinai region, being allowed to put more troops in the region than previously. This is in response to those tank-jackers a few weeks ago. There are various groups of gunrunners and such apparently who have had much freedom of movement in the region. All of this is apparently going on under the auspices of Israel.

Egypt and Iran are too strengthen their ties?

Rather proud to say 'I called it'.

This is shaping up pretty nicely now. Egypt and Iran are strengthening ties which will lead to Israeli and Egyptian ties deteriorating and slowing the flow of Libyan mercenaries getting through to Syria.

Gaddafi falls in Libya, shattering the triumvirate of Libya, Iran and Syria but then Morsi takes Egypt and looks likely to set up a new alliance to counter Egypt.

This is making things worse for Israel. If they strike Iran we could see Egypt, Syria and Lebanon starting a land war but this time things will be different because of Iranian missiles and the fact they have 15,000 revolutionary guards in Syria.

You do realize that if Israel goes thermal then the planet itself is fu(ked and it doesn't make a difference if you live in the states or Canada or some Tibetan mountain, its simply game over as it wont be a U.S. vs Japan scenario as it was in the 40's, this time its far more lethal and MAD is truly assured. This is the only reason why no nation will go thermal unless its being attacked by a non terrestrial enemy.
