WOW i applaud you for posting what i always felt. but i have stomach attacks were i have to lay down on my back and then i flop around like a fish out of water. in so much pain i want to die !!!! it happens about every day and some time many times in a day. and they have lasted for weeks sometimes without letting up. i will also take burning hot showers to try and deal with the pain and get over it.i will also take a blow dryer and blow on my stomach. I think i am in a living hell. it is so hard to work and even keep my job that i love. the attacks happen at work to and i am forced to look for some place to hide so i can flop around like a fish i use to want the world to end so i didnt have to put up with the pain. but look around and just think what a great place we live in!!!! the birds, the trees, the seas. one thing that really helped me to see that was when i help more people with every day things even though im in a lot of pain most of the time.SO that is what i suggest for you help friends, relatives, or find a place in your area and do volunteer work. i wish the best for you peace

The end of the world happens to me when I close my eyes and go to sleep.

I always wake to a new world.

This new world looks so much like the old one, but there is a difference, I am still in it and can make a difference in peoples lives.

I know for a fact that I have and will continue to do so, until the day I die.

What can I say? I am a pessimistic optimist. Always expect and plan for the worst, but hope and plan for the best as well. I am usually pleasently surprised.

I often refer to humans as animals, because in the biological and behavior sense we are, and it shows.

Still keep in mind that there are very few people who truely understand what human beings are really capable of outside of that. We as a species are capable of many wonderous things that could bring so much harmony and peace within ourselves. We need to shed that superficial existence and get rid of our petty misrepresented pride and lose the fact that all we do is dwell on our failings as a mark on the bar that we have yet to acheive.

The ATS community is a special one, in that we have all come here seeking answers to life grand questions. You have people from all over the globe brought together despite what cultural difference we orginate from.

granted Im an ass at times, and offer surly humor in poor taste....that is just me being antagonistic.

yet the real me can see the potential in everyone to bring about a better understanding of who we really are and what we can all accomplish together. Its a nice thought anyway, alas i know that while others sleep this change will never come to fruition. And there will always be a force with an opposite agenda...although it is necessary as it maintains a balance.

I cannot offer any solid ideas on why we are the way we are, all I can say is don't give up on hope. No matter how much this world frustrates you do not give in to the flock of sheep that drives it. Its ok to disagree, its even ok to lose faith in mankind from time to time ( I know I have been guilty of this).

Just remember, what we can accomplish as one could bring about a way of living no one has ever experienced. Imagine if we could all be enlightened beyond that which drives our motivations now in a world built on phony premise. I like that idea.....but it wont happen over night. There has to be chaos before clarity, and unfortunatly people will have to be seen at their worst, before we can grow to be seen as better.

This is expected...and you guys need to realize that. Only then can we foster a change that brings out what we were really meant to exist as..and only then can we all experience true freedom. See people for what they are, live your life in the light of truth, and walk around the shadow that makes this world what it is.

There are lies everywhere...we know this. its ok to be ignorant to the truth as long as you do not stay that way. It is time for us to awaken and take back our lives so they can no longer have control of us. What ever brings you to ATS, understand that there was a preset reason for you to be here. There are no coincidences, this is part of lifes plan.

There is nothing that we together cannot bring to light. We are the last vessel of reason and righteousness...its time we started to act that way....if anything for the continued survival of our species.

Now see doesnt that sound nice? Again it might just be wishful thinking....but if we all thoguht that way just imagine? It would be enough to change my mind..how about yours?

nice rant, I soooooo feel like that a majority of the time, there is so many important things that we could do that hold so much value, yet many of us end up doing the exact opposite, whether by choice or forced by local society, the need to fit in or just get by, its a sad thing and even more depressing to be aware of it, it seems the people who couldn't care less about anything that's not apart of their immediate reality are multiplying way to fast for this planet, the few real heroes we do have are buried in the media, hidden behind manufactured heroes and advertisements, I used to just think it was every one vs the media, but the older I get I see that the media won before I was even borne and has infected people in such a way that we can have all sorts of crazy disorders/addictions that couldn't exist in a natural world, (example: dropping to the floor in hysterics just from witnessing an appointed celebrity live.)

There are a lot of supportive comments in this thread (not trying to be a prick) that sounds like the excuses we tell our selves just to make it easier, I can easily see whats wright and wrong here, I just can't figure out which side of the fence to sit on.

To the OP:

I too have felt like this for a long time, I would say that I have been "awake" to the truth of how the world works since I was 16...one day everything just went SHAZAM! in my brain and I became very depressed for a couple of months...I felt like there was no reason to try anymore after I realized that things were all going to go in pretty much one direction no matter who you are and no matter what you do - e.g. - You are born and life is pretty cool until you get old enough to get yelled at for screwing up and then the yelling just keeps coming in different forms like disappointment, or hatred, or ridicule, and you either rise above it and learn to do everything right, or grow a thick skin and try not to care about what people think of you...then you get a job doing maybe something that you love or something that you hate, for some people a LOT of different jobs, these jobs get you the funny little pieces of paper that make people want to let you have stuff in exchange for them. (this I believe is the main problem) Then you are supposed to find a place to live, and find someone who wants to marry you, and have children, then you find yourself needing to either work a lot harder to make more money to keep all these extra people alive, or give it all up and go live under a big rock in the woods. I think this world was given to us by god and we are meant to see it all and experience it's awe and wonder and not divide it up into smaller parts that are unreachable if you don't have the right papers, or the wrong color skin, or wrong religion. It makes me angry that we all can't just live together as one race and help each other because we want to because everyone is are our brothers and sisters and we should not try to have more junk than everyone else...just share.

I still feel the way you do just without the wanting the world to end part, I used to want that but now I see it all as a game, just sit back and watch everything unfold the way I already knew it would...and above all I have realized that the only thing that matters in this world are the relationships you have with people, especially your relatives, just try to love them as much as you can and enjoy their company for as long as you're able, they are on this funky roller coaster too and they need happiness in their lives just like you do...you should also try to make as many GOOD friends as you can too, not just acquaintances, because you know as much as everyone else knows it is nice NOT to be alone...well most of the time.

Thanks for reading my opinion,

Your not alone....MANY feel this way. I also have all the material things a person would want....it's the spiritual part that is missinng in this world today. I am grateful for what I have done in my life and with my family but there are many of us that realize the train has already left the tracks and things are going down from here.

This only makes my feeling that God has somthing in the works only more stronger. Some of us feel it more than others. I am a born again Christian....so always looking at the signs.

Don't give up.....it's coming...a new world with God's control. Peace

I'm with you on this. As individuals we have amazing potential. Our ability to imagine, create, and care, are true gifts. From whom, i don't know, and that's kind of the blessing and cruse of our existence. It does seem much of what we could achieve as a species is thwarted by fear. Fear of this unknown, fear of death which is a, confusing, in your face reality, and fear of being unable to meet the real necessities of life, of which we become aware early on. I think our biggest problem stems from these fears and the competition among individuals to accumulate excesses to quell these fears in themselves. Unfortunately the tactic most often used to accomplish this is the exploitation of this fear in others. I believe if we could reach a certainty and a comfortable acceptance of our special qualities we could readily access the enlightenment and tranquil existence, that I can only hope, is our designed purpose.

Of course there is always the possibility that our designed purpose is only, and I mean the complete all encompassing entirety. is to live out our lives and to live them in this state of confusion and disharmony. and by doing just this we have contributed all that was intended.

It's a big mystery. Some feel they have a clue. Others appear to have none . I am hopeful for the best. It could be a beautiful place. We truly have all we need. When we learn this, and begin a time of reveling in and sharing this abundance, we may begin to fully use those special qualities we humans possess.

In my heart i understand Exactly what you feel. And i stress the word "Exactly".

Friend, we must shine the light on the positive things we see and feel.

If we let the negative overpower the light, the world becomes a very dark place.

We must at least find balance.

I feel the same disgust towards our so called "Civilizations" because they are anything but civil.

War and abuse of our planet is a daily routine and it is disgusting.

Our so called leaders are beyond corruption and the system is broken.

But i am a father, husband, brother, son and just recently a grandfather.

This is a responsibility.

If i just bow out, what chance does my granddaughter have?

The children do not deserve to have the best people who are aware and awake "YOU & ME" walk off the field.

We must continue to shine the light so that they have a chance. We are their only hope. We must stay and fight.

Your thread, your very words have an impact, just look at some of the other comments.

Imagine what our "Actions" can do!

We are not alone. We are not powerless. Never believe that. We can change the outcome of this world.

Yes even you alone can have an impact and already have.

Remember what one person is capable of.

What if MLK had not stood up? Or the unknown rebel @ Tiananmen Square. And many, many more individuals that stood up and became the change that they wanted to see in this world.

If we are opposed to this diseased world, We must BE the cure. We must lead by example and show the children that one person can make all the difference in the world!

We must teach the children how to fight this darkness, by example, or our world and theirs will truly be lost.

Friend, I beg you. Stay and fight the darkness.

We are the light!

Who is more selfish?
1 A man who want more of the same that will result in 7-8 billion people to have #ty lives under a highly conditioned society where everyone needs medication to be able to stand up in the morning and 20% of the people commit suicide before they are 40 years old and nature have collapsed and only geneticly fabricate life exists that gives 90% of the population cancer before they are 60.
2 A man that is ok with a drastic change even if it kills himself as long as the social structure goes away from the ego parasitic power pyramid and nature have a change to recover itself so there can be a balance and evolution can continue as it was meant to.

There is a lot of signs (synchronicity) going on. This planet is in a way a paradise and the beauty of nature/universe is increadable and the knowledge in both spirit and mind is a remarkable gift from god. To bad life as a human is so bittersweet.

Thank you to all those who took the time to read and comment on this thread.

I must admit that I was not expecting to get any kind of response.
I just felt like, for once, I would scream into the wind. It didn't matter if anyone heard me or not.
I just had an ever increasing desire to write those words.

It feels good to know that there are some out there who understand what it is I am feeling and who have provided me with some valuable insight. This alone has made me feel better than I have in days. So thank you.

Much agreed friend, im only 18 and i know exactly how you feel, i dont want to even bother going out into the world and getting a job and being a big shot and all that because it just doesnt mean anything and is completely pointless.

No matter what you believe created us, evolution, God, or anything else, whatever life is for, we can all agree that it is DEFINATELY not for this!

But friend, dont lose hope, life is still worth living, ive often thought about suicide, but then i realised that it wouldnt change anything, the only thing you can do is try and be ineffably untouchably happy and positive, always be kind and generous and humble and people will follow your example XD

I'm not #1. I don't feel that way and I'm not #2 either. Maybe instead of expecting changing the structure of society to make your life better you should make your life better and then the structure of society will change. The change has to come from within each individual person, that's how things really change. Things like paradigms like admitting the emperor is naked. once everybody "gets it" their behavior and choices and attitude will change, changing the outside world around us. Who has the balls to unplug from the internet willingly? Do you? If you do then why don't you? Using the internet is feeding their need to be in our business and it helps them understand us. That's how they win. You participate in the bs Like using the internet and complaining on the internet and shopping on the internet and watching porn on the internet and tv and buying gas and all of it. It just keeps it going.

We'd better hope nothing catastrophic happens because then they will just have carte blanche to "protect us" and give us universal health care and rfid chips and martial law etc. Change yourself first.

that's right, it would only help them get stronger. the answer is to do like T. Leary said, "Tune in, turn on and drop out." as long as you play the game they win. So you have to do like the kid in that movie where he ate the poison berries out in the wilderness in an old bus, in this case society has gotta drop out of society. As long as we play their game they win automatically. The only way to beat bankers is to not spend money period.

Hihihihihi
The last line Change yourself first makes me laught very much because it assumes that I have been stagnant. You make valid points and keep making them. It was nice hearing your inner thoughts and I give you the same advice back. Evolve and change fast. What will happen will happen no matter how much we do not want it to and want to keep it from happening. Change is coming and have always been coming. Enjoy the ride

if something happens just close to an extinction level event all bets are off for personal growth because it's back to the stone age and I'm not necessarily looking forward to something like that. What's the point anyway? I mean once we lose contact with the other people around the world we're back to survival mode and that doesn't open things up for being an enlightened being when you have to shoot a cat with your shtf bb gun after the ammo runs out for food. And then when the bbs run out what do you do? what happens to language? how do we "evolve" from that?

I hope it's more like aliens come down and like lock up all the rich greedy douches who've been controlling our free will and also controlling where technology goes. I hope they give us some of their technology so we can work on cleaning up this planet and helping suffering people around the world. THAT'S advancement in my book. THAT'S how we can collectively change and change equally around the world to the same depth of conviction that we need to help one another. We have to accept our differences (like reagan talked about in the speech at the un about uniting. not so much from a threat but from their advice and help) so we can work for common goals that benefit everyone and not the few. We don't need much as far as technology, just toxin cleaning stuff and zero-point energy equipment and a few pointers on what NOT to do with a technology that can split the planet in half.

and by the way give us something like Gort from the day the earth stood still so no one can ever take control of our free will as individuals again. that's what I hope for

If by world you mean the planet aswell? Then I don't agree. Planet doesn't have to pay for human mistakes.

Humanity then? Hell yes.

Where I work at, I deal with all kinds of people you can imagine, down from the outright ignorant and stupid to the most arrogant and selfish person ever or even the biggest troll ever. Ever wanted to tear someone's else face apart when they act like big trolls? You bet I want that everyday.

I take the bus to work and I see alot of people both tourists and country kinsmen on my way to work, and I'm often amazed at how completely oblivious they are to what's happening around the world. These people make me puke.

I often find myself like a stranger in a strange land or planet as no friends of mine or even my family share the same views regarding the true reality of the world we live in. Actually, I never cared about or even stopped for one second to convince myself to go talk to them, bring some sense to their heads.. and for what? Only to be regarded as a nutcase? Nah.

An alien invasion would be the best scenario to achieve an end to humanity, just imagining motherships floating above the ignorant masses and seeing their priceless faces would make me happy.
