Radio commentator suspended for his on-air 'Nazi' attack on Julian Assange's mother

I've happened to have met John Michael, he's a bit of a dick. This however is just over the top, and well...lame. If you cant listen to the audio this probably sums up the whole fiasco rather well.

Howson yelled "Sieg Heil! Sieg Heil! Sieg Heil!'' after Mrs Assange called him a pig and refused to go through with an interview on 3AW's Sunday Morning program.

He's now been suspended for his actions.

Ok I ask u this question. People get offended all the time when you bring up anything Nazi.
But about the other side how come its ok to create video games about Americans slaughtering them?
I mean most of the Nazi army were just regular joes drafted to fight for an evil dictator.
Arent the germans offended with all of this anti germany publicity.

But yes he should have been suspended for his talk. But should he be fired because of it? No. I know he isn't going to be but if the scenario arises that's my stance.

Assange is no Head of State or anything, but he is someone in the middle of a news story and literal history in the making to be honest. This is the best the guy can do with the opportunity? ..and Assange's MOM no less. Oh what a dirty r0dent. What did she ever do to get abused by someone like him? Sheesh! He can definitely stand some time at home...with absolutely nothing productive or profitable to do.....to consider his idiocy.

Just by the photos, that guy is used to stuffing crap in his mouth and the exact same is what comes out of it... The sort of people that deserve a smack around the chops in my view... Whats his name again, he must not be too famous in Aus..

I feel really bad for the German people.
You go to jail if you question anything about the Holocaust.
Any video game that depicts any kind of violence is banned, especially anything that has WWII German soldiers in it. No "Nazi Zombies" from COD:BO for them!

Also now that I'm talking about it, does anyone else get annoyed when people call German military during WWII Nazis? They weren't necessarily Nazis, they were German military. The National Socialists were a political group, not a country. lol

My friends grandpa was part of the Nazi party. He has a bunch of memorabilia left over from the war. Very nice guy with that cool accent lol.

He was one and he didn't kill anybody didn't do raids and all that assumptive propaganda.
And even he didn't know anything about the holocaust.

The ones that we have to hate were the SS they were the horrible ones.

I understand the offence when people bring up anything Nazi but I think the world obligates us to do so.

Yeah it's pretty sad that the German people have been so ostracized over the last 50+ years, and made to feel guilty for something that allegedly happened when most of them weren't even born yet. It's crazy.

Imagine what the Germans in Australia and other countries would of felt back in WW2. I have heard that back in the 40's German immigrants had too change their names because of their German background and the fear of being discriminated/killed/beaten for something that is happening 5000km away even though they were most likely very nice people.. By the sounds of that guy, he is nothing more than an arrogant prick who deserves a smack across the gob.

Yes I believe the germans are stereotyped almost more than middle eastern men and women.

I love german culture and heritage. They even gave us Einstein! One of the biggest influences of my life.

I just wish most cultures can forget the past. But that is hoping for too much.

Yup, I pretty much like everyone. It's their governments I dislike. Imagine how cool it would be to have an international body of scientists and engineers working together to create things that better all our lives, rather than how it is now with countries competing and using science to create the next best killing technology, all politically motivated. It sucks. lol

We are all on this spec of a planet together. Might as well make the most of it right, instead of wasting time making conspiracies on how to kill before being killed.
