what's with the red, white, and blue UN emblem in the background?

I don't know if it's supposed to be "UN" or not, but if you put the two halves together it is.

Is it a little joke to stir the pot, or am I missing something?

Looks just like the Pepsi logo to me

There's a URL for what the UN is for. Unpartial.com Also the little tidbit in the banner states "Beginning soon, political news coverage will never be the same." Which is a great context clue as to what the site may be about.

It's another site created by the current owner from my understanding. Correct me if I'm wrong fellow ATSers.

I'm not sure what you are talking about, but the new "sickles" at least that's how they look on my puter....are really creepy........I guess it's supposed to be a mining pick, but only half shows, on each side....very strange....
