I don't actually like Assange or what I have read about him, but this is not about Assange, this is about wikileaks which is much bigger than Assange.

The whole spectacle is embarrassing on a number of levels. the reaction of the British government and the idolization of Assange both sit uncomfortably with me.

He's on here now:

Already mentioned police have been seen climbing the fire escape of the Ecuadorian embassy.

I don't care for Assange, he comes across as a pompous douche.

But, I applaud his efforts with Wiki-leaks.

Its sad that the people depend on the Obama puppet to get Bradley Manning free. Thats like asking Hitler to stop being evil.

It wasn't a bad speech. I was expecting more however. Perhaps he could have elaborated on his current predicament. Perhaps he could have elaborated on his point of view from the embassy...

Great speech. nice and short, no showing weakness.

Sharp shooting.

His put the ball in their court, what can they offer?

I don't think we'll see him for another 2 months (his been in there for 2 months right?)

He doesn't need to do anything. The moment they get mad and force their way in, they will lose in that very moment by breaking rules and using force.

He should speak about the rape charges, why he is hiding? better yet, he should turn himself in, he cant hide in that room forever.

because they aren't rape charges. No charges have been bought against Assange and if you knew what happened you would not call it rape. Rape is a very serious thing and not the same as what Assange did. It wasn't the way I would behave with women, but it certainly wasn't rape.
