Jehovahs Witnesses door to door Conspiracy.

Hello ATS members.

I have recently had a visit by two Jehovah's Witnesses at my door.

They walked to my door, knocked, and I immediately walked to the door and said I was not interested and quickly closed the door in their presence.

My conspiracy theory is... could it be possible for these fisherman of souls sometimes be actual government or private industry employed intelligence operatives on one mission to gain intelligence. ?

Jehovah's Witnesses visitors are common in the United states. So if one shrugs off a visit as a innocent "let me ask you about god" question than nothing is out of the ordinary..

But if it is possible private and government agencies and companies use false religious solicitors to go door to door to assume intelligence do some members of society have anything to fear?

I really found it odd because after they visited my door I peered through the window and they immediately walked half way to the neighbors behind a fence and started talking to someone on the cellphone about words as soliciting people to join their church. Speaking in code?

They would not call door to door they would call in a more relaxed in their church location I would assume.

Were they giving code phrases to someone?

Should I be scared?

Should I just accept the Jehovah's Witnesses have a sincere mission to accomplish?

I need some thoughts on this.

Uhmmm.

a) I suppose the govt could send out anyone under any pretenses.
b) JW's (being a former one) won't work with any govt. There is some interesting information about the Governing Body doing shady things in times past, but overall, they are strictly neutral.
c) Code?? Uhm, soliciting people to join their church ..... ?? That makes no sense. Unless you're not using exact phrasing which is my guess.

I think you got called on by either JW's, Fundi Christians who preach or Mormons. And short of being afraid of them coming back to try again, you really have nothing to fear.

If you got called on by govt agencies like MIB or something, I have no idea what to tell you. You could always show up at your day naked the next time people in nice clothing with bibles come. I've heard that scares people off. Never happened to me, but rumors persist.

I like to let Jehovah's into my house and slowly redirect the conversation to something that I enjoy, like Star Wars or porn.

They almost never catch on.

Unless they're collecting financial information, any information they might be able to get is probably already on a facebook profile.

They do have an agenda but it's more out of their own interest. The Jehova's Witnesses congregation already has a substantial amount of money and business connections through their members / leaders. They want people that, after the kingdom hall sessions, can talk business with and find ways to help eachother out. It's a pretty useful networking tool, half of my family are JW's and as much as they try not to associate with "outsiders", they're quick to use me or any of my skills anytime they may help.

It's not a terrible system or even necessarily evil, it's just it becomes a political game at higher levels. IE, "who has the best connections, who's helped the church the most, ect" when it comes to choosing their "Elder" ranks. It has nothing to do with actually believing or attending, it's the church going "How can this individual help to extend our (enormous) influence".

Financially, it could be a tremendous help to join the congregation but you'll probably have your soul sucked out in the process.

Nah I don't believe so. My Aunt and her family are one of those, unfortunately. They even made me go around one time when I was little, still a gruesome memory.

Definitely a conspiracy behind the JW's, but this isn't it.

If you are or were a Christian and believed whole heartedly that the end is near, and that you have been ordered by God through Jesus..to go out and speak the truth and spread the word.

You would do so. if you had the love and compassion necessary to care that everyone is aware that time is short.

I can't understand everyone's constant beef with these people as they are nearly the only ones doing exactly what their bible say to do! Which would be no fun at all! there would be bad dogs and bad people to face. I have great respect for anyone who acts on their convictions so strongly.

They come to your door because they give a darn about whether you live through their last days or not. Why else would anyone do it!

Unlike the Mormans JW's do not own big business through the congregations, they only own printing facilities operated non profit. Most of the literature is given away free.

Ah, I think you are getting a little paranoid. They are Jehovah Witnesses. I doubt if they even want to get involved with the government. Sure they are on a mission to gain intelligence, after all they need more of it. There is an outside chance that they weren't Real Jehovah Witnesses though but I doubt if the government would disguise themselves as Jehovah Witnesses to spy on people, most people don't answer the door or don't talk to them.

Seriously? These people are just down right rude. I'm very territorial and you don't just come ..uninvited to my property in the first place ...but then to come and intrude on my turf to push your religious beliefs down my throat?

These people need to learn their boundaries.

I've never had a rude or pushy Jehovah Witness come to my home. I treat them with respect, knowing it is their job, and they treat me likewise.

I grew up as a JW and even dabbled with it in my adult life. I can assure you they are not gov't agents and there is no conspiracy involved. They are just overzealous brainwashed cult members who think they are doing god's work by going door to door.

I've gotten sidetracked from the original OP ...I would be suspicious of anyone coming onto my property who I don't know . I've had people I don't know knock on my door and I've gotten their license plates and information. I don't respond kindly to strangers. Like I said, it's territorial pissings and you can never be too careful.

You know why they come. They would rather not come just as you would rather they didn't. Few people do what they believe is right when it is no fun and is dangerous and difficult, at least you could give them that. Every home could harbor a killer, rapist or someone who feels like you do.

Offering a scripture and an invite to the kingdom hall is surely not considered rude by normal standards. Personally I admire their guts!

I just don't feel comfortable with the way they keep notes on all their potential victims… Very unsettling.

I have spoken with them and i think they are pretty genuine,
They truly believe that what they are doing will secure them a place in paradise,and if you are not willing to join then you are not worthy of salvation. But personal choice so no hard feelings.

I'm sorry, but I don't give them any credit for harassing people; because that's my definition of what they do. If it were atheists or Wiccans doing the same thing we would hear a very different tune.... I Guarantee it.

My motto is "no special rights ". Unless you agree to every Tom,Dick, and Harry knocking on your door to preach......especially to me; when I'm in the spiritual minority and have watched too many people get away with so much crap under the guise of "their religion"............than please don't tell me that THAT is your definition of honorable duty . Please .........

Some do take notes, yes. Those notes are to help them remember things about you and give them subjects of conversation on subsequent visits.

But if they are doing as they are supposed to ... if you ask them to leave and not come back, they will honor the request.

I dont agree with the religion in any way, shape, or form. I think their beliefs have huge adverse affects on the way that they raise children. Not a fan.
