My Internet Was Out For Eight Hours Today!

EIGHT HOURS!

I got off from work this afternoon and thought I'd relax and check my email and see what's new on ATS. Lo and behold, my internet was NOT WORKING. That was at 3 pm and it didn't come back on until around 11.

I thought at first something in my system had quit, so I tried everything I could think of to revive it. No luck. I thought about calling my ISP, but I didn't have the number and couldn't look it up because MY INTERNET WAS OUT! Even if I had the number, I couldn't call because my phone is VOIP.

No internet, no phone and nothing but crap on the television. I get paid every two weeks and this was not the week, so I don't have any money to go out with. I got so bored I actually started to clean my apartment.

I know things like this happen, but I had to get this out of my system. Thanks, I feel better.

I didn't use it for 10 hours because I was working......

Thats way to long. Do you realize the world could have ended any number of times and you would have never known it?

I think we've all been in that situation when we've got no internet...you look around and say "where the hell did that come from?"

Well there was a Ddos attack on ATT network.

I wonder if that was your problem??

I don't think so. I'm on Mediacom. I didn't know about the Ddos attack on AT&T. Thanks for the info.

As a fellow addict, I sympathize, not sure I would cope by cleaning , that is really hitting bottom. I would have picked up a book, even a bad boring book is better than cleaning! I got a good laugh out of your pain. Thanks.

o poor you a whole 8 hrs poor thing before i got cabled broadband in with speeds of 1;4mbps wow fast eh i used a plug in dongal sometimes it was days before i got a signal third world countrys have it better than the highlands of scotland
