Did the owner of the cross take offense in what was being done to it? If so, then she is wrong. if not, then she is not.

As a response to what IMO was the excessively draconian sentence given the original PR protesters, this was not very well thought out.

we have a different viewpoint on what/who are Creator is. Unless you are willing to move towards my point of view, there is no possible way that we will bridge that gap. I have studied Christianity in depth (attending a baptist university and taking classes in the bible), and have made my determinations on it. While those determinations may change, the chance of me embracing a Christian point of view just will not ever happen.

But that is fine. The best people I know are Christian. Most don't even know that I am not.
