BREAKING: Former Marine Brandon Raub Just been "Taken" by Feds for Facebook Posts?

I've put some pretty inflammatory stuff on Facebook and ATS, but it has always been within the confines of the term and conditions, and rarely are my posts removed from ATS, and I've NEVER had a post removed from Facebook. If Facebook was censuring him to the point that he had to start a new account, then he probably said plenty to get him a visit from the po-po.

I've sent the police to the homes of people that threatened me in my official duties plenty of times. If someone calls a government office and says something inflammatory or threatening, we take them at their word and we have them checked out.

Even outside my role in the government, if someone said something inflammatory or threatening to me in my personal life, I would take them at their word and I would take pre-emptive action.

I'm all for the change that is coming, but every arrest is not fascism. This guy probably had some screws loose if he was saying too much, too loud on social media. In fact, for those of us that are preparing to survive some upcoming insurrection, guys like this are doing more harm than good. If he had any good or bad intentions, he should have kept them to himself.

I found a webpage that encourages a "call to action" that has a rather lengthy comment from a Brandon Raub. I would hazard a guess that it is a Sovereign Citizen Movement sort of site: www.standupamericaus.org...

I would like to see all his post, but so far e did not break one law.

Funny, if this guy was say... oh, I don't know... a Trayvon Martin or a Floyd Lee Corkins, people don't need PROOF to show their support. With this guy they do. I don't understand. Innocent till proven guilty.

well here is my warning to the US government like the one I try and give police about pushing the people too far.

Us government.....don't piss off the vets. You may think that you can just order a few FBI around and get things moving along.....face palm...

you will make a division in the military and cause a civil war. The side that stands with protecting them will win, since they will have the most support from fellow active duty personnel as well as the people.

After the war, you will be in jail or worse and regret thinking that you have things so tightly under control.

You will cause the US to repel UN forces and any foreign troops you try and send. Then you will lose the support of 100 loyal soldiers for every one you get killed or arrested for being a patriot.

you are not that in control. Control is an illusion and you are really pushing the fantasy.

If we do end up in civil war, the after effect will be a no holds bar persecution all over the globe for all rouge government agents currently persecuting our people. Quit while you are ahead, or die in the attempt at stupidity.

You cant mess with your military,.....even Hitler lacked the balls to go against them. You really should think this through. Leave them alone, or its your funeral.

that is my last warning since I actually hope they piss them off so much that they dig their own graves in the process. Though it will cost us many of our people in the process, I know if it must happen it will and we will not end our country in the process. It will save it.

Most of here are aware that DHS is now targeting veterans as being potential domestic terrorist. Be afraid fellow vets, they are looking at you and now we know they will come for you for FB comments!

And wow, when they took the marine they didn't officially arrest him and rather than take him to HQ they took him to a MENTAL INSTITUTION!! WTF WASHINGTON DC? I love that the arresting agents are wearing sun glasses like bad poker players. Also reminds me of the Matrix, which is lame, so I hate them even more for it!

You can say the same thing on FB as you can on ATS, in fact ATS is a bit tighter on policing their site.
There is more here that we are not being told.
He either made a real threat or the cops picked him up for a very real reason and he knew so he set up the big story.
I'm not buying it.
Now maybe if a few dozen more were arrested, that would help his story a bunch.
Till then I'ma sayin nope.

You do not have habeus corpus protection in a mental institution. You are there "for your own good".

Sounds like big brother is starting to get scared. I found these quotes interesting. I wish we could bring back Mr. Jefferson or atleast put someone in office like him. O wait I forgot money and corruption controls everything. We couldn't even get Ron Paul in office if 70 percent of the people wanted him in office. This is not a representation of a democracy.

I constantly post about how terrible and corrupt the state of America and it's politicians have become, no one has ever warned me or threatened to arrest me. He had to of posted some pretty harsh things to warrant this kind of action.

You should do a google search on the average age of a new recruit and then get off your high horse. Hind sight is 20/20 but looking back, knowing what I know now (most of which came to light after 9/11) I would have never joined the military. When I joined in January of 2001 I thought to myself, what's the worst that can happen? I finished A school 7 September 2001 and flew home to NY before heading out to my first command on 15 September 2001. I was ready to fight the terrorist!

I still want to see the terrorist go down, but now that I'm a little older and time has gone, my perception of who a terrorist has grown.

So from what Ive gathered he made comments deemed threatening enough to send out the feds. They got there and found he needed to be evaluated. He resisted arrest, they took him to a mental health facility.

I dont think this is a free speech issue. Now of course there is little information, so its hard to know. The mother is giv8ng us the information, that she got from her son who is in a mental health facility, and she doesnt sound like the shiniest penny.

Perhaps we should wait for more info before going off the deep end and getting upset that he was arrested for facebook posts. That doesnt sound like the case, it sounds like he was tak3n into custody after contact because they were worried about nis mental health.

Well, after reading every single post he ever wrote on his FB page, and even watching some of the many videos he posted, I think I have reached a conclusion. And that one I am going to keep to myself.

What concerned me was that he did seem potentially psychotic in that note - the talk of machine hearts and they are putting computer chips in our brains raised some red flags.

His composition seems pretty organized. I just hate there's a mom out there that has no idea what has happened to her son - the psych hospital probably can't say they have him, and with things like the NDAA out there, having a son go off with cops and disappear would be terrifying.

I disagree completely. If they truly thought this man was a threat to society and violent then they should do what law enforcement people do, watch the subject, gather evidence, when you gather enough get a court order from a judge, make an arrest. Arrests usually follow from closely watching the subject (over a long period of time, ie days to weeks) so they are aware of his every move. The FBI did this with all the "terrorists" they've arrested. The arrest should be made before he's about to commit a crime. That's good police work. So far we got the feds and local police taking him because of his Facebook comments........

The FB comments should be the start, the reason to watch him closely to see if he's really a threat or not. So far that sounds like it's not the case according to his family. We do need more information but it better be pretty damning stuff.

What gets me ...I didn't know that posting on facebook was the same as sitting down in front of a psychiatrist. Since when are people aware that they are getting a free psychiatric screening along with their facebook account?

Psychiatric detention in the past has been used for poltical oppression. It used to be MUCH worse before the mental health reforms in the 70s. I knew a lady - she was in her 80s when I met her, that had an affair with a city mayor when she was 15 years old. His family committed her to shut the whole thing up.

Her family never knew what happened to her for years and years, she was lost in the system. Back then patients were kept maybe worse than animals - often raped, clothes stolen, and they'd be 'disciplined' by being shot with high pressure water.

Her family said she did not have mental issues when she disappeared, but after 55 years or so of that, before we went to get her, believe me, she became very unhinged. Never really all that crazy just afraid of everything.

There's been a move lately to shut down a lot of the state hospitals. I'm suspicious when anything political and psychiatric collide because of what I know about her story. When we went to get those patients, they were pitiful. Many would scream for the rest of their lives when faced with a bath, because they had learned to associate water and baths with those high pressure hoses and pain.

Young man, to me, honestly sounds like he could be a bit off. Surely the FBI would have his history to go by too. I don't.

I just hate that his mother has no idea what has happened to him, and that it would seem we have a common social apparatus that is being used for surveillance of our mental health without common knowledge, and that the surveillance is being done by the executive branch of our government. :/

That's kinda rotten, don't you think?

No matter HOW sane or not this guy was - that smacks of potential abuse of the mental health system by the govt. We best watch that.

I've been following this thread all day...I haven't had time to post here but when I first learned of this arrest I posted it to my fb along with both his fb account links and a link to a note he wrote there titled "Truth"....I glanced at his fb profiles (in a hurry and taking breaks from toiling the fields...5 gardens to work) and did not see anything inflammatory (beyond what many others say) so in the heat of the moment was thinking there was something to all this.....My post there got nothing but crickets...2 shares I think...only a few comments. Only a few of my friends posted it at that time and when I came back in my house later this evening I asked around (the few that posted it) and came here to check out the thread to get a real time update. I seen the comment he made about "The Revolution will come for me. Men will be at my door soon to pick me up to lead it".....that in and of itself was dumb. In my opinion, it also shows some instability in his mental condition. The arrest footage also raised my eyebrow....he looked a bit "deranged"...hair uncut and "frizzed up"...a sort of "look" in his eyes as they put him in the cop car....It just didn't seem like he was "all there"....

Others are now beginning to post it and repost it on fb (in my "circle" anyways) and are ignoring the information that has come forward since then and ignoring the things he said to blindly support him....Funny how many of them hate on the military so much but then when something like this happens they are suddenly all too willing to blindly support anyone and everyone that aligns with their world view......they are pushing an agenda....

I posted some of this newer info...including the thing about the gold and silver "scam" (not sure about it but posted it for others to dig into as well) and the quote from him about the "revolution" after I had asked a few "friends" about updates they had seen....one was willing to discuss it and back off supporting him as much, the other deleted all my contrary info comments and left the ones I initially made that were in support of him (before I had more info)...I had to go back and delete those as well and I deleted the guy....I am not into "agenda pushing"...I am there/here/elsewhere for TRUTH only...NOT to be pro or anti anything but TRUTH....

It is stifling...the blind leading the blind and they care not what they support as long as it fits in their view of things....

I swear I wish I could star your post a MILLION times gettinreadyalready...seriously, a very level headed post with no agenda to push.....You, unlike a lot of the folks here and on fb and elsewhere alike are a very level headed, thinking guy....I follow your posts here...I am not trying to swell your head but THANK YOU for that post...I needed to see that at least SOME (even if only one or two people) are willing to do some research and tell the truth and not push their own agendas around these places....
