People who believe in gun rights are obsessed with guns...

I mean, why do you need them? Only government needs guns. We know that the government always has our best interests at heart, unlike the people who don't have power over us. Why would we possibly not want the government to own all weapons, and have unlimited power that can never be opposed? You guys are crazy...

How did I get 23 firearms in a canoe? Well it was a big canoe!

Jim,Jim, Jim,

You really just must come visit us country folk more. All the city smog can cloud one's understanding. There is a great deal more country than city too. It's so quiet, on a particularly still night you can hear the liberals lock and load. We protect ourselves and our neighbors, and more than most country folk always intend to be able to.

Never...going to happen. Gun racks are a highly prized upgrade out here...and not optional.

Do visit soon you hear...

All is well...down on the farm.

Everyone should have a crossbow. Just as deadly and you can make your own ammo. Not to mention it's silent.

We have seen it all over the world, push your people too far and you have a revolution. Many good old boys and outright ex military will say, "this is one constitutional amendment that is gonna pass." WE OUTNUMBER THE MILITARY! do they have higher tech? Sure, but this nation would come to a screeching stop. We will see, it's not like the perfect storm hasn't been put together for such a scenario. Where's Charleston Heston and Ted Nugent when you need them?!

Obviously you've never owned a gun or even used one. I suppose you're talking about hunters and biathletes and women who've been raped who buy a gun so they don't become a victim again? Those people just can't wait to shoot someone, right? Are you serious with that statement?

-Ya gotta have heart

-Don't listen to what people say, watch what they do

-The scars you acquire while exercising courage will never make you feel inferior

-You can do anything in this world if you are prepares to take the consequences

You don't buy life insurance without dreaming about dying, you don't buy matches without dreaming about arson, you don't buy a car without dreaming of hitting someone with it...
It's hard to understand some people...

I for one would love to see a world without guns. But those who desire power will never lay down their weapons.

So neither should we. But we are smart enough to know it won't happen that way.

Unless of course the agenda is to kill us off at the same time rid themselves of their enforcers.

They will sicken us with a bio-weapon and render us harmless.

A straight up gun grab would be messy.

But for the sake of conversation, let's say they tried it!

One by one, house by house, they could accomplish this.

Large groups / communities of armed citizens, no way!

United we stand.

Divided we fall.

Why would it be you vs 7 army guys?

Wouldn't it be you.. your family, friends and neighbors, many of whom are ex-army guys? So it's be more like... 50 army guys vs 7 army guys.

TPTB would have to shut down the internet and phone lines before taking weapons in that fashion, other wise one facebook post and suddenly militias pop up outa nowhere.

The more likely course the Government would take is outlaw specific ammo, types of guns etc. Make it harder to sell, harder to get. Add huge taxes on licensing etc etc .. basically make it incredibly expensive and a hassle to own a weapon. Then when only a fraction of gun owners are left owning guns .. THEN take them.

Now this guy knows what he is talking about. Well thought out and right on point. If you can have a flash mob, you can have a flash militia. and really door to door confiscation would get to be time consuming and expensive. Control the ammo.

Hey just a thought.suppose all those government bullet buys are designed to limit availability in the market.

You don't buy a gun without dreaming about shooting somebody. Those who say "you'll pry my gun from my cold dead fingers" are suicidal.

Obviously you know nothing about the 2nd amendment and you OBVIOUSLY don't know squat about gun ownership! I am certainly glad you don't own one! Then again, maybe that is why you feel the way you do?

As far as someone who is willing to fight tyranny and deciding to die to save our freedom, I can think of much more proper words than suicidal, especially when they will die for people like you......

This! This is dead on. Now allow me to state my case. I grew up around guns. I've owned many. My dad was a Marine but didn't keep guns in the house but I was exposed to weapons of all sorts from the time I was little. My grandfather was a big hunter and he gave me MANY guns. So I was used to wicked military knives and stuff like that along with shotguns, rifles, hand guns, etc from an early age. My other grandfather used to be a big fighter. I even have pics from when I was smaller holding a set of brass knuckles and what was called a "gut ripper". I was fascinated with those things in the way a child can be. Fantasy. I loved ninjas and things like that. haha. But the point is I have no fear around weapons because I grew up around them. I've met many people, my wife included, that get all sketched out around guns. She even liked the idea of having one for protection but seemed scared to even touch one. This is the difference in mentality and this exchange I just quoted illustrates that. FYI, I never dreamt about shooting anyone. People that aren't used to guns tend to fear them. People that are don't fear the gun; they watch the person holding it.

"Take Your Guns"????

Why would they? How much did the .50 sniper-rifles help the Waco-Wacko's? How much does the proliferation of full-auto AK's in Pakistan stop the drones from blowing the you-know-what out of those Pakistani's??

The government absolutely does nót fear your guns. They have superior fire-power at their finger-tips.

I réally fail to see the point of these alarmist posts about guns. You. Have. No. Chance. Whatever deluded ideas about "resistance" might be brooding in anyone's brains.

Can you get a mini-gun? An AA installation? Karl-gustavs? Answer: no.
If the government insists, You-re done for.

Really.....

Asymmetrical warfare in an urban environment on American soil would be a disaster for the military.

Do not be so sure that it would be easy, I served in the Marines in Iraq, Afghanistan and Somalia and this would not be an easy fight for either side.

It would start out with small firefights between individuals and then to groups, then the groups would get larger and larger.
Being on occupation force is not an easy thing to accomplish and the military would not have the "air" options like we had overseas.

Plus everyone is forgetting something, the military while loving America is not supportive of most progressive and liberal policies. If they asked the military to further their ambitions, they would be first to learn that the hard way; liberals are not that stupid yet.

When a person is Sworn In as a Member of the U.S. Military they recite an oath. This Oath they swear to uphold has the sentence in it that a Member of the U.S. Armed Services swears...to PROTECT THE PEOPLE AND CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA.

Within the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights is the RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS....as well as it is a CITIZEN OF THE UNITED STATES' DUTY...not right or have the ability...but the U.S. Constitution states...a CITIZENS DUTY...to remove my any and all means any Government of the United States that does not abide by the Constitution and Bill of Rights and that Government must be removed and another installed by the process outlined in the U.S. Constitution asap.

This was placed in the Constitution as our Forefathers did not want a U.S. President turning into a KING like in England and the Right to Bear Arms was a way to prevent this from happening.

Every U.S. Military Personal KNOWS this OATH to be the Protectors of the People and Constitution...NOT the protectors of a Government that breaks the Laws of the Constitution. There is NO WAY that any U.S. Military Personal would side with any U.S. Government that would attempt to break this Oath or Order U.S. Soldiers to attack U.S. Citizens who are just exercising their rights! Split Infinity

To be honest I think the paranoia about evil people coming to take guns away is just bunk and scaremongering.

I guess some people have too much time on their hands....

Just because we're paranoid, doesn't mean that someone isn't out to get us.

I hope your right...and that's all it is....for your sake. I'd rather you be right, then for me to be right.
