Video will be following once I upload from my phone. Probably won't be very impressive but my main reason for making this initial post is to see if anyone else in Brisbane saw 3 orange/red objects? I am situated about 3kms to the west of the city and saw 3 objects moving north to south over the city from my perspective.

The are a lot of planes and helicopters normally but these were different. I can tell planes taking off and landing at Brisbane Airport.

I had gone out for a smoke and initially saw 2 objects. I ran inside to grab my phone and I think I got the last of the two. I stopped the camera when it disappeared but then a 3rd appeared so started the cam up again. Video cameras on phones are so bad at picking things up at a distance so I cant promise anything. I haven't even reviewed the footage yet as I wanted to get this post up quick in case others had seen it.

Still uploading video to youtube. First time I've done it. One has uploaded but looks even worse than on my phone. Are there settings I need to mess with to get the best result?

These have to be planes. Just went out for a another smoke and saw another one.

It's got to be a new flight path and possibly a haze over the city that is making them appear more orange/red.

Gotta say though that your field of view is staring directly at a major flight path and planes do often circle which means to a viewer a few km away they can appear as though the have stopped while they fly towards or away from you until the plane suddenly veers.

Unfortunately I spend half my life on planes and when landing in Brisbane the pilots often do all kinds of weird stuff. Great effort with your thread though...

Yeah I realise the flight path problem but after 5 years of living here, these just looked odd.

From my "smoking spot", this is the first time I've seen things move at this angle in this direction and with such an orange/red glow.

But of course planes are an obvious possibility.

Well the video is actually very good....

The way it moves through the air doesn't really resemble any kind of aircraft flight path I would like to be on....

Being in a plane flying around like that I think the sick bags would be out straight away......
