Fijian police are investigating after an object reportedly crash-landed near the island of Kadavu earlier this evening.

i.stuff.co.nz...

Curious to hear/see what this turns out to be. No known aircraft at this stage. Perhaps just a bit too much Kava?

The lack of information is making my imagination run wild. But wtf is an object resembling an aircraft? Why is there only one source, why am i doubting stuff.co.nz is credible? Anyway i will be watching this unfold for surr

Yeah teh data is limited at this moment, will be worth keeping an eye on though

Here is a link to Fiji Broadcasting Corporation the news channel that broke the report originally

FBC

Not much in that report either, but perhaps they will bring updates first so worth keeping an eye open there

Credible enough to be the best online news in NZ in my humble opinion.

Early days though, either more information will, err, surface, or it will fade into obscurity.

Thats cool, ive seen the site but never paid a whole lot of attention to it. And im always suspicious of this sort of news of course.....

Its so vague like theyre scared of causing panic by saying aliens.

I wonder if it might forcr disclosure. I can only hope.

Hey all, just wanna give Stuff.co.nz another big thumbs up. My favourite NZ news site by far.

I'm interested too to see what comes of this story. No idea even of the size of the 'craft' at this stage. Quite possibly a small aircraft?

Haha I'm willing to bet it's a private aircraft or some sort of meteor/space junk. Unlikely to be any life-as-we-know-it altering incident.

I can however attest to the presence of legitimate UFOs over/in NZ, so you never really know for sure.

"The Fiji Broadcasting Corporation reported that villagers across Kadavu claimed to have seen an object resembling an aircraft fall from the sky at about 6pm."

Excerpt taken from the stuff.co.nz page linked I op, appears to be hosted about 5 minutes ago.

Why on earth would they jump to that conclusion?

Aircraft like object crashes into sea. Must be aliens? Seriously, how do you get from one to the other?

Fiji by all accounts is still a very superstitious place so people will probably jump to aliens or monsters quickly, too early to say at this point.

Maybe they found our Hypersonic Plane.

I think we are missing one...

Why on Earth would they jump to the HUGE conclusion of aliens before going thru a process of elimination of terrestrial aircraft? Logic and probability tell us it is either a plane or space junk (which falls to Earth all the time) or meteor. Logic and probability does not tell us: Aliens!
