Paul Ryan Over-Vetted, Obama/Biden Free Pass?

Hey guys, why wasn't Obama being vetted as rigorously as Ryan? Did Obama and Biden get a free pass? I think Ryan got the record as far as political threads go in the short amount of time he has been on the national stage. TMZ is even trying to find scandalous photos of Ryan during his college years at Miami. I predict that the left will go from FEAR to SMEAR soon, because they are running out of ideas.

We're three and a half years into the Presidency with Obama and there are still people insisting he's not a citizen and that his name is Barry Soetero. And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Maybe it's just me - but this time around things don't seem nearly as insane as the last election ( so far at least )

Is it still a prediction if it's already happened? I think ATS is especially anti Ryan because so many still want Paul and the rest are Obama fans (for the most part). I'm not a huge fan myself, though I will probably go with Romney/Ryan. For me the only hope with these candidates is that Romney won't pull out the scary crap in his first term, and then hopefully someone I actually want to vote for will be found.

I rag on Ron Paul folks a lot, but I think they have done more to open up the country to the possibility of a 3rd party run more than anyone else. I have to give props for that.

I don't recall what Biden went through. I want to say it wasn't as bad, but I'm not sure.

That's a given. Just look at the abuse Sarah Palin got.

Like my dad says. The last perfect man died 2,000 years ago. So we're stuck just doing the best we can.

The primary reason for elections is to stir up hatred and fear. The peasants must be diametrically polarized. Candidates are created for their ability to engender emotional responses.

Of course none of that crap has anything to do with governance and everything to do with controlling pea-brains and making them dance for the amusement of the royalty.

I don't see where the OP said any of that. I believe he is referring to the media willfully not looking into Pres. Obama's background, i.e. his college years, and putting him under a microscope like with candidates in the past. They just didn't do it and I still voted for him.

Ummmmmmmm, Obama has been the most harassed president about his life ever. He's claimed to be non-American, bi-sexual, married to a gay guy, abandoned his family in Africa, and a communist.

The statue is not in Kenya - it is in Indonesia where Barack Obama did live as a child.

And as for the Barry part? My name is John, but I was called Jon-Jon as a child. Does that hold any secret relevance?

Obamas nickname was Barry and Soetero was his stepfathers last name.

He talks about being called Barry in his book, its really not a secret at all. I know that WND would have you think otherwise, but they thrive on peoples ignorance.

Now I will admit, that story did bring something that was news to me. I've heard all about his time at a Madrassa, and he was there. The pictures show the school and the school sure claims him. lol... Proudly and loudly, to put it kindly. However, he was in school in Indonesia from 1967-1971. He spent 3 of those years at a Catholic School. THAT I didn't know.

The Muslim school was the state school while the major of time he spent was at the private Catholic one. Pictures are worth a thousand words though, and his is a photo gallery of the schools, people and places in Indonesia...including an old class picture (one does exist! What do ya know?) with Barry listed as the boy's name.

Now it's the Washington Post and all Media have their agendas but these are interviews with the Faculties of the schools which are proud to claim the history...and his class mates as well as neighbors from that period.. Funny how this was dated 2010 and I'd not heard a few of these things. Talk about the stories that come and just go right off the edge.
