Agreed. It is almost "supernatural" how the world hadn't come to this realization 30 years ago. We are being visited. It is a fact, and yet somehow the world's best kept secret.

Thanks for the plug, Leo. Just caught the segment on ATS Live. Overall not a bad treatment.

Good thread Orko and I'd never read that document before so many thanks for posting it.

This U.S. Government document about the Swedish Air Intelligence Service also mentions that some reliable and fully technically trained people have concluded these phenomena are 'obviously the result of a high technical skill which cannot be credited to any presently known culture on earth' and that was back in 1948.

Although more soberly worded, always thought this was an important one as well where the Assistant Director Scientific Intelligence Marshall H. Chadwell writes to the Director of the CIA informing in that 'sightings of unexplained objects at great altitudes and travelling at high speeds in the vicinity of major U.S. defense installations are of such nature that they are not attributable to natural phenomenon or known types of aerial vehicles'.

Title: Unidentified Flying Objects

To: Director of Central Intelligence

Author: MArshall H. Chadwell, Assistant Director Scientific Intelligence

Date: December 2, 1952

Cheers.

Nice articles, and the thread is a good catalyst for further investigation! The footage is nothing short of amazing

The story in this link caught my eye. I know it's a bit OT, but this seemed an interesting case, what interests me is the intimacy of the sighting, that his colleagues were banking away yet he was treated to the show. Also his quote, that was along the lines of "I've only seen one, but I've seen one" intrigues me. Why do some of us see true-fo's more than once, why do decorated pilots actually in the air only have one sighting? (albeit a spectacular one usually)

Lots of mystery, plenty of intrigue, so S&F for that!

A question: How long is radar data top secret, does it expire and become free information at some point?

Thanks for your contribution, Karl. Those are some strongly-worded documents there. One of my all-time favorite lines is from the Air Materiel Command Opinion Concerning "Flying Disks", written in 1947:

It is utterly amazing how you can sit in front of your computer and debunk the deliberations of top US military officials that had mounds of info at their disposal. Not to mention that they would have every reason to down-play what they already knew to interested but unworthy parties such as the FBI. You have done the debunker's work, using a few words that--evidently sufficient for you--simply negates the whole business from day one right up to the present. But it seems to me to fall a bit short of the facts--oh, but you didn't use any, did you?

Roger that,
You have to love the narrow minded, inside the box, one dimensional thinking, of most skeptics, they pull out a possible explanation, and then use it like a blanket to cover every UFO sighing .
They had the head of skeptical magazine(Micheal ?)on Larry King talk about close minded, he would not even entertain the idea of other life traveling here because there is no physical evidence. There is so much more to are reality than science will ever know or understand, other dimensions, black holes, dark energry, etc...
