Your ignorance regarding nuns is still there.

One of my aunts is a nun, who lives in a convent. When visiting her, I have NEVER seen a nun dressed like the one in your OP. My aunt wears a simple dress and partial habit, and the majority of the other nuns in the convent wear regular clothes. In other words, they wear what they like.

"Christian women" aren't repressed. Making that statement, predicated on nuns wearing certain types of clothes, when they do not, is pure and simple ignorance.

... and that makes 'em repressed how? And what is the percentage of "Orthodox Nuns" to "Christian Women"?

And what was the point of all this, anyway?

Watch the news, they're generally wearing some sort of suit attire... should we harp on about how they're oppressed too?

Obvious troll is obvious...

Suit attire isn't considered oppressive, having your whole body covered is.

Muslim women that are not forced to wear it are still called oppressed by society

Well, that's three out of three questions that you didn't answer.

Here's a solution for you: DON'T WATCH THE CATHOLIC CHANNEL!

There, "problem" based on ignorance solved.

See this makes no sense to me. I am a Christian woman, I wear miniskirts, tee shirts, shorts, blouses, heels,
jeans etc. God does not care what we wear. It is the people in the church and out for that matter, which judge.

If I asked "Father, I want to wear my short skirt and tee with my sandals on Sunday, would you object"? His answer
would be as follows " My child come as you are. It does not matter what you wear, just come"

I don't get your point.

Now I was raised differently, and I dont wear miniskirts and boots to church, I usually have on slacks or a dress or a skirt. But if I wanted to I could. So no I am not oppressed.

One of my best friends is a Muslim and she does all of the things you listed.

To each is own.

If someone wants to subjugate themselves to wearing full body clothing, for the sake of faith, who is ANYONE, that can judge that ?

But....

When a GOVERNMENT forces women to wear certain clothing, that's where I draw the line. It takes away the personal freedom, of doing it. That is called subjugation.

Example:

Campaign leader Alireza Kiani told RFE/RL that at least half of the people who have “liked” the page live inside Iran. Kiani, who left Iran about a year ago, says he was deeply bothered by the constant harassment of Iranian women over their appearance.

There's that broad generalization again . So I am to take your word on that then ?

Not even most nuns now a days dress like this, but don't you think it odd that Muslims want all women to dress in this terrible and totally unhealthy way (I can't wear socks let alone any heavy clothes year round, but dress very light and nothing on head or throat save but for a day of the most fierce winds in January, or I nearly pass out, all of me must breathe!).

There are very few Catholic nuns in the world.

So whats your real point?

Your trying to equate what?

How about individual rights, regardless OF religion ?

There's NO Hypocrisy ,unless its being "forced" on a population. Last I checked, there is No Nation on this Planet, except places like Iran, that FORCE their women, under harsh law, to wear this type of clothing. Then you wonder why there are misconceptions about it ?
