Militant gunmen attacked a key Pakistani air force base before dawn Thursday, sparking an intense exchange of fire, officials said.Security forces were returning fire and special forces commandos were scrambled to respond to the attack at the base in the northwestern town of Kamra, 60 kilometres (37 miles) northwest of Islamabad.Witnesses said they could hear gun and rocket fire coming from the facility, which contains a number of aircraft factories.

Not sure what to think of this??

Very little info at the time of posting this and not to sure who is actually doing the attack?

I am very interested to learn more about the place being attacked and just how important a target this is.

As mentioned, this report is only 30 min old so more information is sure to follow....

Remember US is training thousands of Afghans as their proxy force, they are controlled directly by US. These forces have crossed over to Pakistan many times before. Pakistan in the other hand is fighting US through its own proxy force, the Taliban.

There is a big proxy war going on, in Syria, Afghanistan, Libya, Somalia... They are all connected to US, we don't know what exactly US wants, but US finger print is found in all of these places.

You don't have to close it as there can be two threads of the same topic if one is in breaking news. It's interesting.. I think Pakistan is the biggest nuclear threat (as far as possible terrorism goes). It's just not secure enough and has two many shady dealings to be trusted. More dangerous than Iran for sure. If a nuke is ever stolen and used in an attack (and that is actually what happened - not a government or country using it) it will come from pakistan i bet.
