Mitt Romney cited Joe Biden's silly comments about Republicans putting people back in chains in a speech and seemed to tell Obama what side his bread is buttered on !!

Romney says Obama's Presidency is angry and desperate.

The current administration can't seem to find a way out of the mess, and they certainly are Not offering any solutions !!

Mitt Romney used a tough new campaign speech to personally blast the Obama campaign on Tuesday, saying comments earlier in the day from Vice President Biden are "what an angry and desperate Presidency looks like."

"Mr. President, take your campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago,"
Romney said while campaigning in Ohio.

Romney was responding to Biden's suggestion that the GOP ticket's economic policies would “put y’all back in chains."

FINALLY!

Someone comes out and is telling it like it is to that pompous jerk pretending to be president!

Watch. I'll bet anyone 5 intranet dollars that Obama will come back shocked and stunned that anyone can speak to him like that! Why. . . why the nerve of Romney to lower the election arena to such a "base" level!

Hey Obama! Time for another vaycay.

I wonder if you will ever be able to start a thread that actually gives me a reason to want to vote for anyone but Obama. So far, you seem to be spamming ATS with "Obama and Biden are idiot jerk" threads based on crap spewed by the people running against him. Imagine if they had a plan for the country instead of personal attacks. Imagine if you noticed any such thing.

I see it very fair and balanced. Xuenchen starts the threads providing current electorial news and you provide the other side.

I just enjoy reading and sometimes providing my own opinion to the candidates.

Oh boy, more faux outrage.......

That audience is NOT black, he was not speaking in a racial context if you listen to his previous sentence you can clearly see.

But of course, Romney needs to use this sort of race baiting propaganda to cater to right wing white America...you know the people that love to bring up black people and slavery constantly. The same people that go "it was 200 years ago. get over it"...while ignoring all it was only 50 years ago that the civil rights act was signed.

I did not say anything about fair, balanced, or sides.
That was not my issue.
Sorry if I confused you with the words that I used instead of apparently the ones you planned on reading.

Romney can take his racist religion, Mormonism, that believes black people are the spawn of the devil back to Utah.

In politics, perception trumps reality.

We could nit-pick Bidens intent all day long. But the current news cycle is playing this 24/7. Not just Fox, but CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS.

So you libs better start doing damage control, REGARDLESS of what was actually said.

So you admit to going along with the propaganda just to tarnish their image regardless of how true it is or not?

To be a black person yourself you are really a sell out

If we are talking about the mental chains of iggnorance and the left-right paradigm... we are still in chains. In order to be "put back in chains" one would have to be presently free from those chains....

As such, which people or peoples are now free from chains that at one time were bound and imprisoned by chains?

The former convicts that settled Georgia? Perhaps the sharecroppers and indentured servants of Virginia? The iggnorant mass of Americans still bound in political iggnorance?

Who? What large demographic and traditionally Democratic group was previously bound in chains? What group would be fearful of Obama losing the White House to a white, conservative, traditional capitalist that promotes the individual right to exceptionalism or minimalism?

Biden was speaking in Danville, Va... a poor southern town that lost the bulk of it's textile industry thanks to NAFTA signed by Democratic Pres. Bill Clinton...

Who was Biden speaking to?

African Americans... not just in the audience but all those that would watch the nightly news... that's who.

I've been called an Uncle Tom so many times that I'm thinking of getting business cards made up with that on it.

I'm a Tea Party member. I focus on policy. Not colour. Not race. I focus on what's the best direction for the country. NOT how I can benefit the most. i am an individual. Not a drone or mindless sheep obeying whatever those state I should be saying.

Biden is a buffoon. He "gaffs" so much that a smaller list would be things he stated without mistakes.

So how well are middle and lower income households fairing under obarmy ? Last i heard the only people not suffering at all are the rich, so it doesn't matter who's in power, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. I do seem to notice that more millionaires appear to be created by the state during a socialist government tenure, the last labour party in charge in Britain can attest to that. All memebers of all parties are there for themselves and not for the voters. I know that is a generalisation but it wont be far from the mark

This is a shining example of why I find partisan politics absurdly humorous. The mud Joe Biden is slinging is not even close to relevant, not even close. A debt reaching upwards of 17 trillion, a failing education system, a poor infrastructure by advanced country standards, and two conflicts with a possible two others one the way draining the financial life out of the middle and lower classes. Somehow a topic of interest by the two parties is Biden taking a silly shot at the GOP? Not even close to relevant.

Obama is obviously angry, but he's not desperate. He's well ahead in the polls. Sad but true.
His campaign is nothing more than smoke and mirrors coupled with class warfare.

It was a mixed race southern audience.

he was not speaking in a racial context if you listen to his previous sentence you can clearly see.

I think it was definately something that was ment to bring up slavery in their minds.
Subliminal intent or straight out. Seems obvious to me.
