Adding another thread link here.

www.abovetopsecret.com...

This thread claims something passed in front of the Sun when in fact the problem lies in the cameras themselves being pointed at the Sun. The artifact is the camera being overwhelmed by the Sun and the camera response is report those pixels as black as the signal is shunted to ground.

Here is a discussion on the black dot on the Sun issue in a forum on digital cameras.

Right here at ATS is a discussion of the issue

This blog shows a black spot in front of a group of people.

There are actual black spots seen on the Sun such as the recent Venus transit. In a few more years Mercury will pass in front of the Sun. There are sunspots, too.

Here is an interesting Youtube video in which the person claims that the cross shaped lens flare is as they put it, "THIS IS NOT A LENS FLARE.".

For those unfamiliar with lens flares, the shape of the lens flare is due to the shape of the light source. In a camera with a diaphragm the lens flare is often 6 or 8 sided as the light source is masked down to that shape. In this case the light passes through a pair of orthogonal slots and thus appears as a pair of intersecting line segments.

Its a lens flare and I suggest that if you want to see a lens flare in the shape of 2 crosses line segments then view the video. Other than that it's a boring video.

It is trivial to make a bright dot fixed to the Sun.

This is such flawed logic...............I can't believe you are attempting to make any kind of point with it.

Because there are a few faked bigfoot videos, does that mean all are faked?

Because there are a few faked loch ness monster videos/pics, does it logically follow that all are faked?

Because there are many faked UFO/extraterrestrial videos/pics out there, does that mean all are faked?

Your comment makes zero sense... If something is fake it's fake, end of story. 99.9999999999999999 (i coud go on) % of the videos / pictures purporting to see something called Nibiru (actually 100% but I was trying to give ya some benefit) are fake, every single time someone claims it's not, you jump on and try to make it fact.

Think about it for one second, seriously.

The flaw in logic is yours. You are attempting, and very poorly at that, to form a straw man argument.

It is trivial to make a video with a fixed bright dot next to the Sun. For example, the hoax video you posted in the thread which has been locked by the mods was an example of the sort of hoax that was trivial to make. In that case it was made by some foul mouthed kiddies.

Your argument is called the residual argument. Your claim is that in a collection of hoaxes the chances of the real thing being there increases as the number of videos increases. Or to be more correct that the chances increases as more and more hoaxes are posted. That makes no sense at all. The residual claim simply boils down to identifying the better made hoaxes.

Some videos are harder to fake. It really does not matter how difficult or easy it is to fake a bigfoot video or a UFO video or any other crypto video. This thread is about 2012 hoax videos and one of those video types is second Sun videos. It is trivial to make a hoax video of a so-called second Sun. People are doing it left and right. Not only are they making these hoaxes, but some people knowingly post these hoaxes at ATS knowing full well that they are hoaxes. Das ist verboten.

There are many ways to recognize that these are hoaxes. Read the thread and get your internal wack-o-meter up to snuff when it comes to these hoaxes.

Here is yet another video that shows an internal reflection due to the use of what might be a welding mask.
