A big deal is being made of Brian Wilsons "masterpiece".
His unfinished pop-symphony, that is now a FINISHED pop symphony.
They are really rolling it out, with appearance on talk shows, a Showtime special. etc..

BUT:
Has anyone heard it? I'd like to hear your thoughts..

If this is the triple album of the 1970s, it's not bad.

Maybe 6-7 years ago I was listening to student radio, and heard what I assumed to be a current band playing with syrupy harmonies and slow rhythms and some quite oddball lyrics. I rang the DJ to ask "Who the hell is this band that thinks it's the Beach Boys"?

But it was a track from Smile.

Or was it in fact from "Sweet"?

Now I can't remember.

Thats the track they were probably playing as background music on the Showtime documentary.
I never realized that people thought of him as such a musical genius.

Lots of music industry insiders, really singing the praises of his abilities.
A lot of it, in the studios, having the ability to use the recording equipment as if it were another musical intrument.

I'll probably pick up th CD, I'm sure the recording standards are WAY up there!

If he can fit the recording jack into his head it should be good . oopS WaITe a minute mines stuck !!

At first I thought you were being a wise guy.
But, you're right...Who knows whats going on in that head of his.

I finally bought the CD, 2 days ago now.

I must say, the first track "our prayer/Gee". Raised goosebumps.
No lyrics, but amazing vocalizing, like a church choir.

The music is growing on me...Sometimes thats the best kind..

I'll write a review in a day or two..Once it sinks in..!
