So, because some rich people actually give back, we should be happy with the for profit dismantling of US industry by the likes of Romney with his financial scams, and willfully go along with the super rich dumping trillions in debt on future generations?

We should pretend that the super rich aren't trying to dump the enormous cost of keeping a slave labor market running on middle class America?

What do you mean by "give back"? That implies they made their fortunes without providing any products or services first. That would be an impossibility!
The ABC of money making is that first you have to give something, then you get back something from society. Hence, the richer you are, the more you have contributed to society. Its the ideal measuring stick. The only people who dont understand the basic laws of math and physics are socialists. Thats why they always fail in their economies...they just dont get it. They`ll say "He has taken so much from us, its about time he gave back!" without realizing that he (the super rich) has been giving to society all along. All the while the cretins who keep attacking the rich contribute zilch or near-to-nothing to society. They are busy bitching and making waging completely fruitless protests.

It is almost a little sick how thrilled you sound to be a peasant. Instead of him being super rich and taking care of the naives, imagine if everyone were doing better. I do not like the idea of rich men supplying us with infrastructure. It takes the power away from the people and gives it to that one man.

Give back to the country that made it possible for them to accumulate such wealth.

Sounds like a "You didn't built that!" Obama quote.

They "give back" by creating jobs. Taxing the rich so strongly encourages them to horde their wealth, and make cuts. Although to simple minded leftists they just think that that wealth can be taken and "spread around" with no blowback.

Sorry, but these rules of economics you believe in don't exist.

All you need to earn money is a good scheme and no conscious.

The Rockefellers got their money by creating a monopoly in oil by gaming the system. Most rich people earned their fortunes through sleazy deals and ruthless tactics.

They didn't earn the money, so yeah! It's giving back.

Some people seem to need to worship wealth.

Everyone CAN do better. But bashing the rich is not the way to accomplish that. Learning from the rich is. Or learning basic math and physics.

Its not the collective that made it possible to accumulate wealth.

Collectivist education has dumbed folks down to such a horrific degree they wont learn the basics of economy. Its difficult to learn when you're filled with rage.

You mean they brought oil to the country?

Look...this discussion is futile. Youve already made up your mind about who is to blame for all the worlds ills.

Enjoy your bashing of successful people. And dont be surprised if a few people actually see things differently. Not everyone is part of the hive-mind yet.

I understand their complaints, but their anger is misdirected. We aren't practicing capitalism, we are practicing corporatism. That doesn't mean capitalism is bad though.

The super rich don't create jobs. They eliminate jobs. That is how Romney made his fortune, eliminating jobs and robbing pension funds. Their maniacal need for wealth is not a good thing, it's a bad thing.

The reason free societies where wealth is more evenly distributed do better, is because the super rich screw everything up.

People who worship at the alter of wealth are worshipping a false god.

Again, that doesn't mean capitalism is bad. The laws the banksters have pushed encourage companies to outsource. This could easily be solved by heavily taxing foreign imports, which will in turn remove incentive to outsource in the first place.

Why don't you read some history. The Rockefellers didn't bring oil to the US. They weren't the first to start drilling. They bought up all the competing oil wells.

All you are doing is clinging to ignorance you were programmed to believe.

You need to educate yourselves before you come here with this garbage.

Wealth is nothing to be worshiped but it is to be strived for. Wealth, actual wealth is what has improved the quality of life for people all over the world. It is a wealth of food that allows people to eat, a wealth of houses that allows people to live and a wealth of knowledge that allows people to better themselves. If the person did not steal the food or house and he instead earned it by producing then he should indeed be proud of it. The issue is when government is used as a tool by a few to steal wealth from those who produced it. This is an issue of government though and not of wealth itself. Wealth is a very positive thing and in a free market it is a symbol of high productivity.

I have no problem with capitalism, it is an important part of market economics.

The IC Bankers have succeeded in dumping huge amounts of debt on the US fed government to pay for their crooked schemes.

I see a better solution in raising taxes on the super rich and corporations up the wazoo until fed debt is back where it should be. In addition, writing trade treaties that prevent use of slave labor rigged monetary policies, and environmental destruction.

I don't want to live under the rule of corporations. It is worse than communism.

I don't think we are obligated to pay these crooks. In fact, their assets should be seized, they should be jailed, and our system revamped.

One simple five minute video should dispel the myth that the rich don't create jobs.

Because, when you look at the video, you see there's a lot of equipment in a huge building. Much of that equipment and is very expensive, some of it so expensive that it would cost in a week more than a worker gets paid in a year.

So you've got to ask, where does all of that stuff come from?

The answer is, while workers may build and assemble it, they simply do not have the resources to get the supplies to assemble the equipment and to build such a place.

They simply can't do that sort of thing.

So where else does the stuff come from?

It has to come from the rich. Because only the rich have the resources to bring the resources to assemble and build such a place. Workers just don't. The rich provides for the equipment and the buildings for the workers to work in.

So in reality, the rich do contribute things.

I'm sorry, but I just can't believe that the rich just do not create jobs. I personally believe that to be a socialist lie.

But many of them do do shady things to get richer and to keep people down.

And I also believe that they should be taxed, but that we all should be taxed the same exact rate without any loop holes.

Simply because I believe in civil rights and liberties for all citizens, regardless of how much they make and how much stuff they own. Charity at the point of a sword is not true charity.

This punish the rich because they have more stuff is absolutely ludicrous to me. It's just an excuse for thieves to justify them stealing whatever they can.
