Hey guys, the next hour is infested with satanic rituals of all kind - especially Illuminati evil demons that wish to take over the world during said hour.

But worry not dear readers for I will use my power of awareness to stop the wrong-doers from harming us all in their devilish plan to destroy man kind as we know it in the next hour and install their hideous new world order upon the survivors.

You can all send me flowers and thank-you posts in PM in an hour, once I save the world using nothing but the power of self awareness. Mind you, I will stop a planet or two during that time so if you feel a little itching anywhere in your body - you guessed it, it's my awesome powers at work.

By the way.. Elenin? Yep, that was me that prevented it from happening. Along with my trusty army of YouTubers that raised awareness in order for it not to come. Yes, that was our plan! To make obnoxious prophecies about a random comet only to make it seem like we're a bunch of fools! But in reality we were using the power of awareness to prevent it.

Seriously now,
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
I hope you guys are all well below 18 years of age.

You people = anyone that makes idiotic prophecies that has 0 credibility from the get-go, only to make themselves look even dumber by declaring their prophecies haven't came true because a so called power of awareness that can stop stars from moving.
And yes, the OP is included.

OK, so this was a generalized rant at a very small minority. ATS may make it seem like the world is full of "these people" so i needed to check your aptitude. I wanted to make sure you did not feel like the conspiracy prone are the majority.

got it, thanks

Duh! I even said in the post that it didn't take that into account, Because apparently there are a lot of people on this thread that don't give any credence to occult symbolism and numerology so I purposely chose examples that had nothing to do with the occult that still pointed to the possibility of the attack thinking that something more in the material world would make the point better. That's what I love about you guys- effed if I do, effed if I don't.

I'm coming to the conclusion that it's pointless to argue with you. I've at least considered the valid possibility that you are correct and nothing was ever intended to happen and then made my choice based on the available evidence. That's open-mindedness. Did any of you skeptics give valid consideration to your opposing point of view? From where I sit I'm thinking, no-you judged and mocked from right out the gate.

But you know what, I don't feel like I have anything to prove to any of you. You can't show anybody anything they are unwilling to consider and all of you have made your stance very clear.

Oh don't worry. Any sane person can clearly see the vast majority of people in the world, as dumb as they may be, are nothing compared to the idiocy by some ATS conspirators that make this place seem like a cult of bloody fools. If I were a mod I'd act to make this place abit more classy and keep these morons out. My honest opinion.

Excuse me - we were right. The doom prophecies are ridiculous, they are funny, and they deserved to be mocked.
Furthermore, nothing has happened and instead of admitting you made up a stupid prediction based on a teenager's YouTube video about triangles and eye shaped figures, you have a guy that claims nothing has happened because of him and others that "spread the word"?

Are you that insane?

The primary mental malfunction of the “intervention” video conspiracy-mongering, however, is the massive anomaly hunting that it represents. Conspiracy theorists don’t have real evidence (because the conspirators hide all the evidence, or course), instead they have anomalies. Anything that seems a bit odd, out of place, coincidental, or all-too-convenient is cast in a sinister light and made to seem as if it is evidence for a conspiracy. Media conspiracy theorists often hide this thinking as “I’m just asking questions” – which is code for, “I’m just anomaly hunting and conspiracy-mongering.”

Imagine all the video of all the politicians and leaders out there that could possibly produce something that can be twisted into vague evidence of something sinister. It doesn’t have to be anything specific – and that’s the point. A scratch of the nose, a certain facial expression or word choice is all it takes. The amount of data out there for conspiracy theorists to mine is vast. The fact that this sort of thing is the best they can come up with is very telling in itself.

The world is a complex and chaotic place, and our ability to make sense of it all is limited by comparison. We like, however, to have a sense of control, so we look for patterns and ways to predict what will happen in this chaotic world. Superstitions are one way to deal with the chaos, and conspiracy theories are another. They are both forms of pattern seeking behavior. The illusion of pattern that leads to the illusion of understanding and therefore control is psychologically appealing. But it is all a neuropsychological illusion.

Rigorous logic and empirical methods need to be applied to let us distinguish real patterns from fake or coincidental ones. Conspiracy thinking is the opposite of rigorous logic. It employs conspiracy logic, which can turn any evidence against a conspiracy or lack of evidence for a conspiracy into evidence for the conspiracy. Conspiracy thinking is a closed mental feedback loop. There is no way out from within the conspiracy mindset itself.

To a conspiracy theorist, McCain scratched his nose, therefore he is in on a 45 year old plot to assassinate JFK, and the world is run by a shadow government of incredible reach, power, and just enough stupidity (or hubris) so that the conspiracy theorists themselves can see through it all.

Well done you sat in your basements lit candles held hands sung kum by ya me lord and
with orgone rods in hand bought from your local charlatans you set about banishing those motherships
From entering earth.Well done now is the time to go get a girlfreind a job or get yourself a hooker

Maybe your girlfriend dumped you because you bought a rubber doll. Maybe Mom read you the riot act because you're still living in her basement. Maybe you ran out of porn. Whatever the reason, try real hard to grasp this fact ~ we have been right and you have been wrong yet again..

Face the facts you were all wrong *epilogue*

You are right, but I hope you are also including your perception tunnel as being neuropsychological illusion as well.

The Aneristic Principle is that of apparent order; the Eristic Principle is that of apparent disorder. Both order and disorder are man made concepts and are artificial divisions of pure chaos, which is a level deeper than is the level of distinction making.

en.wikipedia.org...

They are both illusion and the truth lies somewhere in between.
Was I wrong? I personally never took the stance of an absolute. There was a possibility and that possibility did not come to fruition (thankfully.) Do I believe that it was the exposure that stopped it? No, but I explained earlier that exposure creates more awareness and shadows like shadows.

Rigorous logic and empirical methods need to be applied to let us distinguish real patterns from fake or coincidental ones. Conspiracy thinking is the opposite of rigorous logic.

I disagree. I look at the available evidence presented to me (acknowledging that some remains hidden and some is intentional disinformation) and form my opinion critically based on my experiences and study over the years. I don't believe every conspiracy theory blindly without an opportunity to think critically about it. My perception of it does not make me wrong just because of you've divined from your perspective of aneristic illusion.

Are some conspiracies out there crazy? Absolutely. Are they all? Absolutely not. But rather than have an actual dialog trying to understand another persons perspective, it is dismissed outright. You talk about charlatans like Icke and Jones, but I say call them what they are, disinformation agents. And the fact is, disinformation works because there is enough of the truth in there to resonate with people. Which means, charlatans or not, there is a proportion of what they say that is the truth. What proportion, what truth? That comes down to discernment and critical thinking.

You consistently generalize all conspiracists into one lump sum that you can make fun of. This is not only not fair, it exposes a perceptual trap you have fallen into and purposely perpetuate. Using this form of "logic" I would come to the conclusion based on my interactions with you that all debunkers are pompous, argumentative for the sake of being argumentative a**h*l*s who, rather than admitting that there might be another way of perceiving things, acknowledging that other people's opinions might have an ounce of validity you call them wrong outright. Or do the real open-minded, mature thing...

Maybe your girlfriend dumped you because you bought a rubber doll. Maybe Mom read you the riot act because you're still living in her basement. Maybe you ran out of porn. Whatever the reason, try real hard to grasp this fact ~ we have been right and you have been wrong yet again..

The people that see the old lady and the vase are wrong! They are ignorant delusionists that see patterns where none exist. Plus they are stupid and probably smell bad and have sex with their pets

Of course, everyone knows that these are pictures of a young lady and people conversing. I know because I have put it to the rigorous testing of seeing it and confirming it with my own eyes. Any other interpretations are likely the result of mental illness or plain laziness.

'Nuff said. I'm out.

It's not fair how I cannot convince those with an opposing point of view of my absolute righteousness as a psych-something/high priestess initiated into the Sacred Happy Lucky Golden Order of Immortal Arsehattery.

So, unused to people mocking me and my special powers of whackjobbery honed to a hair-popping edge over the past two decades, I hereby spit the dummy ("pacifier" in US English) and undertake to take my bat and ball and go home.

Give me a break...

And if not trying to convince someone of your righteous perspective what do you and yours think you are trying to do with this thread?
Because mocking is so much better.
Unsurprisingly and predictably the point has been missed and mocking has been the immediate go to.
Classic.

As has been proved many times over in this thread, the conspiracy whackjobs will not tolerate their ideas being challenged. If you don't agree then you're a sheep/troll/government agent/reptilian/insert ridiculous accusation here.

It's seriously like a form of OCD and if it wasn't so devastatingly sad it'd be amusing to watch.

I find it rather telling that apart from being accused of mocking, I haven't been engaged directly. I guess this is because I don't really need to advertise my own beliefs (which DO include belief in some conspiracies, UFOs and the Occult), instead I simply grab the BS being spewed by unhinged conspiracy theorists all over the web, amplify it, and send it back at them. This approach is taken as mocking or sarcasm, but in reality it's nothing more than a mirror. I'm showing you what you and your "research" have become. If you didn't care, then this approach I have taken would not enrage or upset you so.

I guess I never understood the mindset of those who have a pathological need to feel "special" or "above" others. Make no mistake, when you drill down, that's what you're doing. Your "knowledge" of the arcane, the hidden and the secret, makes you feel superior to all the sheep out there who HAVEN'T yet wasted decades on the same fairy tales. I'd recommend doing something useful with your life to satisfy that feeling of superiority. But it's your life, so if this is the only way you can feel satisfied, follow your bliss. Just know that for your whole journey there will be people such as myself who will be there to show you your reflection in the mirror when the nutjobbery becomes too much. It's the least we can do for you. Just think of us as your wingmen, there to help keep you from making a complete fool of yourselves.

Basically I look at these conspiracy theories the same way I look at organized religion.
I am agnostic so in no way do I take the bible as fact. Sure the bible has some historical truth to it we know certain cities temples existed from archeological evidence we also know at some point there were massive floods or at least the earth was mostly covered with water.

Things like this have been proven but the stories to me at least are just stories which may have some truth to them I believe many of the stories a based loosely on actual events. Then there is god an all knowing all seeing invisible entity that controls everything in your life except free will.
Now just look at the parallels I just described with conspiracy theories. If I am not going to start praying to a god that no one can show me proof of I sure as hell am not going to start believing in an all seeing all knowing illuminati that controls everything in this world besides free will (granted some theory’s say they even control that) that no one can provide any proof for except for throwing a bunch of crackpot videos up that are all loosely based around actual events. Really people can’t you see you are just trading one religion for another.
Being on the inside makes you feel special and needed it gives you purpose. If you have to be that way just go back to church it is a lot more socially accepted but just as damaging if you take it all literal.

I am agnostic in both. I believe there is something but I don’t think anyone really has the answers although as far as these conspiracy theories 99.9% of them can be rationally explained. That means .1% is the real thing but damn is it worth it to look like a total fool the rest of the time. If there is a legitimate 1 floating around these sites that hasn’t been exposed to the whole world I can guarantee that you are not going to be the one who solves it.

“You are not special. You're not a beautiful and unique snowflake. You're the same decaying organic matter as everything else. We're all part of the same compost heap. We're all singing, all dancing crap of the world.”
― Chuck Palahniuk, Fight Club

I don’t need your voodoo.

I needed to rant. Thanx.
