In short, to say macroevolution has never been observed is complete and utter bull#

By the way, if you had spent just 5min doing a quick google search you would have realized how wrong you are. I mean, how long does a search for "observed instances, macroevolution" take?

They should be willing to study evolution so they know what they are talking about when they try to argue against it.

Welcome to America, eh? As far as I can tell religious people have always been paranoid about people taking away their religion and/or persecuting them for it. Yes, that was a valid concern, a couple hundred years ago. If you live in the United States now though, please know that the first amendment protects your right to be religious. No one is going to cut your hand off for touching a Bible nor burn you at the stack for saying you don't believe in Zeus. If you're a Christian living in another country then your concerns with your religion may or may not be nothing more than paranoia. We aren't focusing on other countries though, we're talking about the USA- the country that gave the word "freedom" a whole new meaning.

Missouri /is/ located in the Bible Belt, so it can't come as much of a shock that a law like this would be passed, since obviously the majority would be all for it. However, I don't see why the federal government doesn't step in and say "Hold your horses there sonny, we're trying the make the kids in this country smarter and not teaching them evolution is counterproductive. You're going to teach the little brats evolution whether they or their parents like it or not. They don't have to believe in it, but they still need to know how it works and what it is so our country can stop being the idiot of the world."

Right now I see the US and other countries that once enjoyed large populations of God- fearing and obedient folks swamped in crime, rape, murder, prostitution, drugs, suicides, murders, porn, theft, alarmed homes and cars. What is tragic is that my grandparents lived without locking their front door and never ever had to deal with any of that crap. So what changed??? Despite large numbers of professing Christians, there is little obedience to His commands even amongst the "modern" Christian church.

So I need to ask, who is the real idiot here? A society that indoctrinated it's children that there is NO GOD by ramming the theory of evolution down their innocent children's throats to the point that two or three generations later, millions upon millions are in misery due to moral lawlessness. We are sagging under our sins. You must truly ignore what is in front of your face in order to argue your points. You truly believe that the rest of the world views us as idiots for "believing in God", yet the truth is they view us as this monster that has arisen in the world. You cannot see this because you are standing on the sidelines clapping blindly for man and science whilst we internally implode because we have abandoned the source of our forefather's blessings - the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and His Son.. They see the REALITY - a country that no longer looks like WHAT THEY USED TO STAND IN AWE OF, a country BLESSED by it's Creator. As our God's blessings are removed, we will prove just who was the idiot - ourselves. As you watch the world take over our resources, jobs and country. This generation is brainwashed to believe that they can have the peace and security enjoyed by their forefathers whilst sticking up their finger at God Almighty. Tragically, the lesson is going to be learned the hard way in a world now united in bringing us down.

here are more people. There are still places what have only a few hundred residents or are similarly small where they don't lock their doors - but they always did in NY city!

In your grandparents day they invented the FBI in the USA to combat organised crime, they practices segregation, lynched "uppity (blacks)", rape went unreported, single mothers "went visiting" and came back without their babies, had prohibition - and speak easies, and marijuana and coc aine and opium were legal.

You are aware that about 80% of American's believe in some sort of God, aren't you? The problem isn't that people are just suddenly becoming more cruel, they've always been cruel, its just that nowadays there are a lot more people than there used to be, so an increase in crime is to be expected.

and it is not like evolution is actually controversial at all except for zealots and fanatics - it happens every day - warnings about a resistant strain of Gonorrhrea have come out just this week, and the idea that evolution and some sort of creationism are "equal" and should be given "equal time" or somesuch is also nonsense - evolution is a widely accepted scientific theory, which has had millions of hours of research put into it - all versions of creationism are at best personal belief, at worst wishful thinking and confirmation bias.
