Actually that is one of the purposes of Stonehenge; To aid in the production of food.

If I told you how it works, you wouldn't believe me anyway and I would be giving myself away that I know about the Key.

But when I went into the inner circle (had to pay for the privilege) I sensed it was a countdown clock too but Astronomy is my worst subject, so I have no idea how that purpose works.
