I thought he held his composure rather well. He made a funny, had good timing, didn't seem at all flustered. Seems like a pro speaker to me. Now I get that some are offended by the joke, but people get offended about everything. I don't think one joke gives much insight into how professional someone is going to be, or a good indication of their character or ideals.

actually paul ryan was kinda being a bully with his ridicule of the old man.

i wonder how many people in the room thought to themselves, hey im on blood pressure medicine what are you saying.

Minors ages 12 to 16 years performing migrant labor need a work permit. With a migrant labor work permit they may work:

Oh, I did this when I was a kid, too. It's crazy, bone-tiring work. I got so many rashes from the corn husks.

Do we know when this video is taken? I think that it could be important when we consider the level of support Ryan gets from the local PD against any opposition. People in the audience are sheep. They just laugh at their rights being stripped away as if by joining them they are immune to the tyranny. They do not even watch as he is carted off for speaking the truth, they turn back towards Ryan as if nothing to see here back to the propaganda.

Or they could've just been waiting until the question/answer session started before speaking their minds.

The video was taken in September 2011.

It's funny until it happens to you. Right? That comment was on a public stage, among peers. The other
people in the room who chuckled (not that many), were also probably thinking "crap, I don't want to be hauled off and made fun of"... I would be.

It doesn't negate the fact that a man in his position acted/responded unprofessionally. Again, these politicians are expected to hold a higher standard, not act in this manner.

P.s. this is just about his behavior on the stage, don't even get me started at the lies he's been spouting (why do I call them lies? Look at what he's voted for and against). That will give you a clearer picture of where this 'politician' stands.

Yes we do. It's about a year old. The protesters were warned not to interrupt the speech. He did, they went to escort him out, he resisted, he was arrested. How are the audience members sheep? Because they don't agree with you? You want they should cheer the jackass interrupting an event they paid to attend and wanted to listen to?

Not sure about Elitegamer23 but I am almost certain I received a payroll check. My parents took it from there so I don't know about the IRS tax. I was in 7th grade at the time, 13 years old.

You can hold politicians to a higher standard all you want. Better a dumb joke than lying about canoodling at work.

I do wish to hell the media would stop calling these "entitlement" programs. We paid in to it for decades and the lasted data show that retires starting now will be the first to get back LESS than they put in. AKA, that ain't entitlement, its robbery.

free speech does not include yelling and interrupting a peaceful gathering.

however ryan could have easily calmed him down, listened to what he had to say, then address the mans concerns.

"i have paid into the system for 50 years"

the man is right, thats his money.

he has every right to be upset.

the left claims the right wants to "do away" with entitlements.

but the left will not take responsibility for the disaster that entitlements are. and they continue to add more.

and both sides loot the funds for themselves.

entitlements have to go, or at least need to be drastically restructured.

they are corrupting our politicians, and our citizens, and they are bankrupting this nation.

just imagine being a 71 year old man who paid into social security for 50 years and being told you arent going to get what you were promised and because of that you might have to get a job to make ends meet.

i would be so pissed!

Awesome now here comes the but:

The average person only pays 6% the employer matches that at another 6% which means take someone who is earning 25,000 a year 6% of that is $1,500 bucks that is what a person actually paid in to SS.

The employer matched that contribution at another $1,500 so now the total SS contribution for that year is $3,000 bucks.

Now take that $3,000 and multiply that by 30 years now we are up to a whopping $90,000 bucks for a total lifetime contribution that when a person turns 65 they are really going to get to live up the high life.

Of course the average SS check is $1000 bucks a month.

So when people say their SS that is not even close to the truth it is half someone elses the employers and the kicker not even half anymore because the new people who are ripped off to cover those people who are getting more out of that system that ever paid in to it.

I know! The way Paul Ryan tackled the guy, wrestled with him, put in handcuffs, and led him out was horrendous!

Oh, wait...it was the police that did that.

Will we even get Social Security 30 years down the road? What will the state of the country be in even 5 years down the road?

I just don't understand why Tom Nielsen was being disruptive if he had a broken shoulder and knew he'd be taken away. Was this something he did on purpose? He was a protester and was warned about interrupting Ryan's speaking engagement.
