I used to make that joke myself, but it was just a joke. I worked in military intelligence in 2003 and our area of attention was solely on the Middle East. I remember my scif was taken by surprise that Iraq had WMD's and that we were going to war. How did we learn of this? CNN, and the rest of the MSM that air on the Armed Forces Network. We were in the middle of hunting terrorists responsible for 9/11 and now we had to divert all our attention and resources to Iraq....

I'd blame the CIA along with British intel, Washington DC & her political allies worldwide, and of course our beloved MSM for the disinfo and propaganda that lead us into that war. The irony of owning hundreds of the world's most dangerous, destructive weapons pointed all over the globe, while telling other countries they aren't allowed to produce nuclear power sounds is funny.

What is also funny is how total disarmament of these weapons from every country is still not an option.

Governments can't balance their checkbooks, yet have claimed the power to control all aspects of nuclear weapons.

Scary thought.

Washington has not commented on whether such an NIE exists. But its officials say the U.S. intelligence assessment remains that the Islamic Republic is undecided on whether to build a bomb and is years away from any such nuclear capability.

Hard to take you seriously, when the knee-jerk reaction to the title, gets you inflamed to bash America Immediately.......

Something else is going on... and it's bigger than re-electing Mitt Obama.

I have been doing some research, and so far I am back to 1901. Is it strange that that is 111 years ago? I'm not really a fan of numerology, but...

The only problem I am having right now is that this rabbit hole goes so deep and twists through so many subjects, I am not sure if it'll be a thread or a novel when I'm done. One thing I have discovered: the present US government is indeed evil enough to be one of the four horsemen of Revelation, and we have been lied to about things you would not believe.

heh... sometime before the next millenium the way things are going. There's just so much to research! Every find opens up five new questions... and twenty new instances of corruption... I'm actually culling most of those to focus on the big picture.

I may just toss up what I have and let others fill in the blanks later this week.

If you were an intelligence agent that had solid proof of Iran working towards nuclear weapons capabilities, would you really want to stay anonymous to save your own skin over the potential dangerous implications of a country, threatened by yours and others with military action, having any significant progress towards said goal?

In our eyes , there is no much difference between the governments. Israel is the heart and US govt is the arm.

I can't see much difference. All of them connected to one body. Like US elites and US president candidates. They are closely attached to each other.

Iran is a game. It was a game between three spies. One running Russia Puttin. One running Iran Ahmadinejad. And one that was running the US Bush Sr and his son who followed him Bush Jr.

Israel was buying oil from Iran. Bush was letting his friends sell equipment to Iran Koch Industries and Haliburton. When the Republicans needed to fight the Democcrates Ahmadinejad kiddnapped some Americans. When they need oil to go up they just start the Propaganda up. Hell the US and Russia played the world for fools when they built up there massive militaries during the coldwar. Remember nobody was ever supposed to build up a large military again after Hitler. The game Russia and the US played had everybody eating popcorn watching what was happening without saying a word. Hell the US built the nuclear facility in Iran in the first place. Russia is just upgrading and repairing it after Israel blew it up.

And the talk about a nuclear weapon will prevent the US for doing anything to Iran is a joke. It did not stop the US from going into Pakistan. So that holds no water anymore. They also went into Lybia who had nuclear power plants the French were building. Hell John McCain was wanting to arm them to the teeth only months before they were attacked. Nothing makes any sence. But thats what happens when spies run countries. They have no core beliefs or morals on hwat they should do. If they did they would have never been a spy. A spy is only good if they deal with the worst of society around the world to enable them to operate through black markets, drug dealers and the underground networks they have for smuggling. So how would they have honor or morals?

Sorry. I cant "lump' the United States,and Israel into one body. It would be disingenuous to think like that. It would be akin to lumping all terrorists in the Middle East into some off shoot of Iran, by proxy, or even all terrorists to being Arabian. We both know THATS not true either, but some believe in it. Its Dangerous to think that way.

If this is any indicator, it does not have sufficient information to show Iran has or even is developing nuclear weapons; therefore it indicates only that an attack on Iran is imminent. Syria must be approaching a conclusion.

It's not too difficult to understand why Iran would want to protect itself from them.

This is probably almost completely made it. Yes Iran has been working on getting their nuclear program up. But probably not even coming close to having a truly working weapon. This is just another thing that the MSM spouts. Same thing we've done to Syria, is the same thing we're doing to Iran. There's been so many youtube videos, alternative news outlets that have documented proof with videos, pictures and statements of the truth. I remember there is a italian video subtitled with english on youtube explajning the truth behind Syria.

The comment above is one of the most often repeated errors on this topic. The US, UN, Europe all have stated Iran has a right to develop peaceful nuclear energy. Nuclear energy has never been the issue with those groups and at no point have any of them told Iran they cant have nuclear power.

That falsehood comes from the Iranian government for their own spin reasons. They are deflecting the actual issue, enrichment and ability to produce a bomb, and substituting energy in place of bomb.

To date the US has used 2 nuclear devices in self defense. Other than that we have wasted more money than people who have died in either of the explosions.

Whether its 1 nuclear weapon or 1,000 nuclear weapons, 1 is 1 to many..

In my opinion the only country in the Middle East that can make a legitimate argument for possessing nuclear weapons is Israel. The argument is based on repeated threats and actual attempts to attack it.

However by making repeated threats and actual attempts to attack Iran, Israel is handing over to Iran the same arguments and the same moral authority that Israel posesses, to acquire nuclear weapons.

This is the lunatic fringe of right wing Israeli politics, in the person of Netanyahu and his ilk, going against the accumulated wisdom and intelligence of Israeli military personnel and former high ranking Mossad agents who have publicly advised against this approach.

All it would take is one Russian or Chinese cargo plane to land in Iran with a shipment of 100 or so mini-nuclear weapons, for Iran to become a nuclear power with ballistic missiles capable of delivering nuclear warheads to Israel.

Wouldn't that settle the matter? Wouldn't that restore stability to the region? What argument is there against doing that, other than nuclear proliferation?

Israel should stop threatening the Iranians.

They seem to want an attack on Iran as quickly as possible, perhaps to deflect the Israeli population from the ever worsening domestic issues.
